And just like that, Christmas is here! I definitely haven’t been as active on here, but behind the scenes I’ve been focusing on our guests, our wonderful brides and grooms, and the people that have made this place possible for us. Most importantly I have been making every moment count with these two - Walter and Mike. We love this part of the world more than anything, and we love sharing it with others. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. Without you we couldn’t have grown this business. Mike and I took over from mum and dad two years ago now, and gosh it’s had its challenges, but we have learnt so much along the way. Walter is learning about slaters and millipedes, how to check the water tank levels and to stay away from electric fences, and Mike has taken on the role as our maintenance man effortlessly - from slashing the paddocks to replacing water tanks and broken pipes with tremendous effort. I’m so proud of these two, and I look forward to an exciting 2024. Wishing you all a safe, happy and healthy Christmas. With love from us three (soon to be four 🤍) xx

It has been one week today since Georgie and Bryce became husband and wife in an intimate ceremony at Lapito House. The bride was a vision in her dress; which she made herself 🤍 I wish Georgie and Bryce a lifetime of happiness, love and plenty of laughter x 📷

Our guest Will recently celebrated a very special birthday with his nearest and dearest at Lapito House. His partner Hester created the most beautiful intimate long lunch inside with views of the misty hills and the fire crackling keeping everyone warm. They enjoyed a long lunch catered by Salopian Inn McLaren Vale. In his email to me Will said he loves good food and good wine. I think you created the perfect celebration to celebrate you Will. Happy birthday and thank you for choosing Lapito House.

Mike, Walter and I arrived to Lapito House the other day as we prepared for a big day of collecting + chopping up firewood for our guests as the cooler weather arrives. Dad joined us shortly after to help and see his grandson. But a few minutes after that the chainsaw seized. It was kaput. It lasted a good 12 years, but it’s time we get a new one I said. Dad and Mike’s eyes lit up with excitement. As I finished preparing the home for our guests, Dad, Mike and Walter; three generations, had a chat and a laugh on the deck with a tennis ball. Even though we didn’t get much firewood done that day, these moments together make it all worth it.

Beautiful Bentley couldn’t think of a more perfect location to recover following his eye surgery two days prior. Our guest Sally said that Bentley and Tigga felt all their Christmases had come at once! I think the photos say it all.

This time last week love was in the air for Robbie and Justine. I caught up with our guest a few weeks earlier as he told me he was planning on proposing to his love right here at Lapito House. He had a vision of how he wanted it to be, and my sister Lara helped him bring it to life. The best part is she said YES! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness x
