✴️✴️✴️ TALAWAHL CLASSIC DESTINY wins 3 Drafts at Long Flat Campdraft on the weekend!!!

Hot on the heels of his recent Open for Open win at Dorrigo CD backed up to win:

🥇The Ladies Draft with an 88 (23.61.4) and had to run off for the Cutout 3 times, 23,23,20. Well done Jane on finally winning this.

🥇The Junior Draft and Cutout with Georgia with an 88 (22.62.4)

🥇The Juvenile Draft with Lachie with an 87 (21.62.4)

Georgia also placed 2nd in the Juniors with CD's sister Talawahl Classic Impression.

Great riding kids, thank you!

CD was well represented with his progeny also performing, best result was John Corrigan and his 6yr old mare Classic Piece finishing 7th from a field of 245 in the Feature Novice Draft.
(Shouldn't have missed the gate John!) 😁

PARKHOUSE CLASSIC was well represented by 3 of her progeny recently at Upper Horton Campdraft and the ASHS National Campdraft at Goondiwindi.

Pictured are TALAWAHL CLASSIC DESTINY, his brother TALAWAHL CLASSIC ACRES, both by Acres Destiny, and their 3/4 sister TALAWAHL CLASSIC IMPRESSION by Binnia Impressive Destiny.

She's definitely stamped them! I've added a pic too of her back in the day.

CLASSIC is now 32 years old, I give her updates on their achievements but she seems unimpressed. 😊

Over the last couple of months in conjunction with Dungog Bison and Horse Training we've conducted 2 adult campdraft clinics.
These were held at Stroud showground late April and Glendonview near Gresford late June.

Kendal, Georgia and I had a great time with fantastic participants, some who attended both clinics.

We look forward to more clinics when it dries out a bit, unfortunately the planned kids event has been postponed due to the weather.

🎇 TALAWAHL DOUBLE IMAGE and Dan Steers were part of the exciting lineup of talent on offer at Mastery of the Horse held recently at Australian Outback Spectacular.

Double Image has been an integral part of the successful Double Dan Horsemanship team since their inception. He has wowed crowds nationally and internationally.

This multi talented stallion loves the limelight and has also enjoyed major success in other disciplines.

🎇 Congratulations to the Corrigan family and their mare Classic Piece on dividing 5th place in the Feature Maiden Campdraft at Big River recently.
She is pictured with John on board, far right.

This young mare is by TALAWAHL CLASSIC DESTINY and is showing great promise after only a handful of starts.

The Corrigan family have bred a few foals by CD now and of course Lachie and Georgia both ride him in the Juvenile and Junior drafts.

It makes this result extra special. 🎇

TALAWAHL HAZE, a 2 yr old gelding also enjoyed a successful ASH National Show with owner Taylor.

Haze is by TALAWAHL CLASSIC DESTINY and out of TALAWAHL SHADE.

TALAWAHL HAZE and TALAWAHL SHADY ( mentioned in a previous post) are full brothers.
Taylor and Bella (Shady's owner) are friends.

How lovely it is to see these combinations presented so beautifully and performing at such a high standard.

This was only the 3rd outing for this special yearling filly and the big occasion didn't faze her.

It's been a very busy couple of weeks for the brothers.

TALAWAHL CLASSIC DESTINY and TALAWAHL CLASSIC ACRES both competed at Stroud Campdraft.
CLASSIC DESTINY placed 2nd in the Ladies with me and equal 3rd in the Juvenile with Lachie.
Lachie and CLASSIC ACRES were also in cutout contention with a 22.
Georgia and CLASSIC DESTINY tried their best as well in the Juniors.

We went back to Stroud a few days later to run in conjunction with Dungog Bison and Horse Training a very successful 2 day campdraft clinic.

From there it was on to Willinga Draft.
Not much luck for us this year, our best result was CLASSIC DESTINY being one point out of the Top Ten placings in the Stallion Draft.

Big thanks to Lloyd, Dennis and Lisa for their help at Willinga.
Horses and people are glad to be back home.

Fortunately both boys don't mind competing in the mud, we've seen our fair share lately!

🏆🏆 BALLENGARRA ROCKSTAR 🏆🏆

3yr old gelding by TALAWAHL CLASSIC DESTINY and out of THE BRAES SONG.
Bred and owned by Alex Pope.

We have followed his journey from conception!

Song was allegedly difficult to breed, she went in foal straight up to CD.
ROCKSTAR arrived and he's never looked back.

He was shown as a yearling, broken in as a 2yr old and Alex's first ride on Rocky was just over 12 months ago.
He takes mostly everything that's thrown at him in his stride and it's hard to remember he is only 3 years old.

Rocky's won a swag of ribbons and admirers and recently excelled at Canberra Royal and Sydney Royal Easter Shows.

Congratulations Alex, you two make a great team and the smile on your face is priceless!
