Blaze part 2 - π
Blaze Part 1 π
Exceptional Versatile level headed Mare
Name: Blaze
Breed: CLYDIE x QH
Age: 8
Height: 15.3hh
Gender: Mare
Rider Suitability: Intermediate to Experienced (Experienced horsey home a must)
Location: NABIAC - MID NORTH COAST NSW 2312
This mare better find her human soon or Iβm going to keep her!!
Offered on behalf of a client due to personal circumstances.
Blaze is one of those exceptional mares that has a level head, is affectionate and gets along well with others. With a sweet disposition she aims to please and connects with her person.
She is adaptable and versatile making her the perfect mount for most riders. This mare will cruise along or pick up and switch gears when needed. She is responsive and soft with 3 established paces making her a pleasure to ride.
In her previous home she has attended pony club, shows, camp drafting, cattle work and trail rides. Her owner stated she was well behaved out and about. Owner stated she did not display any vices.
Whilst undertaking my assessment process I have found her to be great to ride on her own, great with other horses, easy to do all cares with and a pleasure to have around. I have seen no undesirable behaviours. She has been ridden in the wind and rain, and through puddles (because is there any other weather right now π). She has lovely hard Clydesdale feet and a nice comfortable barrel body which makes it feel like you are sitting in an armchair.
I have had different levels of riders ride her and all have said how lovely and calm she is and that they felt safe. However in saying this she is not a plodder and is responsive to aids, so would ideally suit someone who is conscious of their instructions and has riding experience.
Has shown to be fine with inconsistent work. Iβve hopped on her after a few weeks off no problems at all.
She was head shy when she arrived (her current owner had been working on this and saw some improvement after a chiropractor and kind handling). Since being here she has had 2 x accupunture sessions and undergone some training with me and I have seen a massive improvement to the point where you might not even notice it if I didnβt point it out.
She loves affection and responds well to kindness.
Did suffer from some minor itch last season.
π΄ Good to C,S,F (has been barefoot for as long as we know) has good feet.
π΄ Has been ridden ba****ck with just a halter and lead.
π΄ No known health concerns, or soundness issues.
π΄ As all the horses that come through here she is Up to date with teeth, feet, worming and accupunture.
π΄ Great with other horses in a paddock, non marey even when she was in season.
π΄ Respectful of fences.
π΄ Has shown to be fine after a spell.
π΄ No displayed vices, not even a shy whilst she has been here.
π©Ί Vet checks welcome at purchasers expense.

Update:
Statement from a previous owner who has contacted me from my sales post, that Blaze did suffer from itch (more than what was seen with current owner).
She also disclosed that when she sent her to a trainer, she was informed that she bucked. She then sold her on. My current client has had her for 6 months and she hasnβt put a hoof wrong. In the month that she has been with me, she has been everything that I have stated.
Unfortunately this mare has had a sad start and we would really like to see her go to her forever home where she will be loved for the horse she is today.
Happy to discuss the reason her current owner needs to find her a home, due to being personal reasons I cannot disclose on a public post. This was no fault of the horse. And the owner is happy to confirm that.
I can only advertise based on observations made whilst the horse is in my care, and if anything comes to light like in this situation, I disclose it straight away due to my duty of care.
My mission statement is as follows;
βThere is the right horse for every person, and the right person for every horse.β
I take my role very seriously, and my main priority is finding the right match, hence why I have now updated her ad to intermediate to experienced riders and experienced horsey home due to updated information.

itβs been a BIG few weeks for us. We have moved to our new property which we are also renovating as we move into it (cause why wouldnβt you π€π
π) and trying to sort out everything at our old place as well. Please bear with me as we undergo this process.
We are still trying to get set up at our new place but this will take a bit of time. So I will still be operating most of the business at our old home for now. We are so blessed that my beautiful sister in law is buying our old place, so not only is it staying in the family but we can transition smoothly and timely as well. ππ xx
Some snaps of our new view ππ
Edit βοΈ We are still in the area and have moved across the Highway from our old property π€π€π
Yes. This!
When we bring in a new horse or pony, we must be patient!
So many animals advertised as βwell brokeβ do not make the transition to new ownership all that easily. Heck, I've purchased animals who take close to a year to settle in β and surprisingly, the ones described as βfriendlyβ can take it hardest of all. These are the ones who really bond with their people and changing hands is hard for them.
Even a quiet horse or pony can suddenly become spooky, hard to catch, or a halter puller upon arrival.
I can only recommend that when a new ride is purchased, sign up for a few lessons from the seller or former trainer, if qualified. Better yet, get yourself and your new horse into lessons with your regular coach. Waiting for things to be perfect is usually counterproductive.
So, we get to work straightaway but we donβt expect perfection. We might note what weβd like to change or improve upon, but we refrain from immediately βremakingβ the new horse. Human nature has a hard time with waiting for gradual change to happen, so be warned.
Some horses make the leap to their new lives with gusto, others grow homesick and troubled β and some, we discover, were never all that well broke, to begin with. The trick is in knowing what's what!
Finally, please remember that homesickness has no bearing on how much schooling a horse has, or has not received.
If we were talking about children, weβd know instinctively that a complete change in homes and routines would be an emotional rollercoaster. Iβve often thought that handling horses is little different from raising kids...

βWatch your habits, for they become your posture. Watch your posture, for it creates your boundaries. Watch your boundaries, for they restrict your growth. Watch your restrictions, for they create immobility. Watch your immobility, for it becomes your illness.β
β Katy Bowman
Powerful words that applies to riding.
We are how we move and how we move off the horse effects how we will move on the horse.
When we have restrictions in our body, this creates blockages, just the same as when a horse has a restriction.
In riding we want to create throughness in the horses body so that they are working correctly and in doing so creates softness.
Softness through the horses back through to the bridle.
But as riders we want the same, throughness in our body. Absorbing the horses movement without restrictions.
Softness through our seat, through hips and back, through to softness in hand.
Our restrictions become our boundaries for which we can move correctly.
Our boundaries then restrict the way we move in the saddle.
Always remember the part your body plays in creating softness and throughness in the saddle.
We are how we move and how we move off the horse effects how we will move on the horse.
Our habits become our posture. On and off the horse.

π UPDATE - DOLLY HAS FOUND HER HUMANππ she is going to be very loved πππ»
πBeautiful versatile affectionate Mare π
Name: Dolly
Breed: Clydie x QH
Gender: Mare
Age: Rising 12
Height: 15.2hh
Rider Suitability: Confident intermediate to advanced (Was used at the RDA but not advertising as a beginners horse)
Location: NABIAC - MID NORTH COAST 2312
Dolly is a beautiful mare, with an impressive resume, looking for her new home on behalf of a client, due to personal circumstances.
The kindest mare you will ever meet, she meets you at the gate with a whinny, and absolutely loves affection and attention.
Not a marey mare at all, she is the bottom of the pecking order, and she is fantastic with other horses.
Dolly has spent the last 6 years at the local Riding for Disabled. We have received lots of positive feedback, with her being the favourite of many of the volunteers and participants whilst she was there.
Previous to her being at the RDA, she attended Pony club, local agricultural shows, fun gymkhana days, showjumping club, team penning and beach and trail rides.
ππ She is quite the celebrity and links to her Claim to fame on 7 news and video of her at the RDA are in the comments below.
This mare is easy to do all cares with and is good to catch, shoe and float. She is currently barefoot.
This mare takes awhile to settle in a new environment, but once she does she has shown to take care of any level of rider. However in a new environment she requires a confident experienced rider.
Whilst under saddle here she has been forward moving with a keen work ethic. I believe she is quite versatile and could be an all rounder for the right rider. She has Been known to get anxious at some events, and some events she has been fine so she needs a confident rider if they wish to compete. In saying that the owner has said that she has also been amazing at a lot of events as well, and has provided video to show her out and about. We just want whatβs best for Dolly so are providing as much information and honesty as possible.
She is so gentle and affectionate and will be somebodyβs best friend. The kind of mare that melts your heart with how adorable she is.
π» Has displayed no vices whilst here at my facility, and had none disclosed to me besides being anxious at events, but even when stressed has no bite, kick, buck, rear or bolt in her.
π» Is a great doer, not expensive to keep feed wise
π» Great with other horses, very gentle
π» Good to c,s,f
π» Has shown to be Good after a spell, not a horse you have to work down
π» Has shown to be great with cars, machinery, chickens, dogs and kids whilst here
She sometimes doesnβt stand still when you go to get on, but this is due to her still settling in.
π΄ She has scarring on her offside hind due to a fence injury from 2015. She didnβt do any tendon or ligament damage and the owner has documentation from the incident if needed.
βοΈβοΈ Vet checks welcome at purchasers expense.
π As per my code of conduct she is up to date with teeth, feet and worming. She has also had an accupunture session to assist with transitioning to her new space.
Videos will be uploaded to my page Serenity Equine Training.
As I am often out riding and training horses please call 0411218849 and I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible. I donβt have time to reply to all the messages.
Thank you π
Love this. Live by this. Hence why any horse that comes through here undergoes a comprehensive overview and I always get their teeth checked, feet and Accupuncture. So they can start their new journey in the best shape possible. π
A while ago, I was sent a pony for schooling that had napping (not wanting to go forward) and contact issues.
Upon its arrival, I did a through check over of its body and quickly found wolf teeth present (which cause major contact issues) and a bony change in its knee. Because of its wolf teeth, schooling was pointless at this stage, but I also wanted to investigate the knee further before doing any more work with the pony.
When I asked the owner if I could have the pony flexioned and xrayed by a vet, she told me that the pony was only going to be a kids pony anyway, so the knee wasnβt a concern for her. Yet the pony was showing significant napping behaviours, a behaviour that only presents when a horse associates major discomfort with what is being asked of them. And I had a strong feeling that, like most poor behaviours, the issues for this pony were pain related.
Because I wasnβt prepared to work with a horse I didnβt think was structurally sound, I paid for x-rays myself and the findings werenβt good. The pony had several bone spurs in the knee and substantial arthritic changes. More than enough findings to suggest that ridden work was extremely uncomfortable for it and retirement was the kindest option at that stage.
Sadly, this is an issue I see frequently when working with horses with behavioural issues. Most commonly, an owners first βgo toβ is to have the horse βtrainedβ through the issue, but most of the time the problems we deal with as riders and handlers are not a training issue, but rather a discomfort or pain issue. Sure, a dominant trainer can override the issues for a while, but it doesnβt actually fix them and it severely affects the welfare of the animal in the process.
Before a behavioural issue is addressed through training, the horse should be well evaluated by an expert; including having their teeth checked, feet rebalanced, tendons flexed, legs and spine xrayed, scoped for ulcers, eyes checked, blood tests, seen by a chiropractor or body worker, properly saddle fitted and bit changed and then an assessment of the rider should be made to see where mistakes might be happening in their training. Even if nothing is found in these checks, you cannot rule out deeper pain issues such as adhesions, tumours, muscle tears, reproductive issues, misalignments, digestive issues etc. which can be nearly impossible to find without an autopsy or highly specialised appointments.
At the end of the day, horses are extremely willing and forgiving animals, so if they keep expressing poor behaviour, it is just because the cause of that behaviour has not yet been diagnosed and fixed. We always try to live by the statement, βFind the solution, donβt punish the symptoms.β All behaviour is a form of communication and itβs our job to figure out what our horses are trying to say.
Benji and Blaze arrived last week and are getting up to scratch with teeth, feet, Accupuncture and being put through their paces. As usual I have a certain tick list that I go through to ensure that each horse is marketed correctly, so that the right home can be matched accordingly.
Their full ads will be posted soon.

π΄π΄π΄ π΄ANNOUNCEMENT π΄π΄π΄π΄
I am so grateful to all the enquiries about the beautiful horses I get the pleasure of rehoming.
Due to a significant amount of messages I am posting an update here. I do apologise as I do not have the time to reply to every message at the moment, as much as I am trying my best. I will be posting updates to my page so that everyone can see in a timely fashion.
I do honestly care about each and every one of you, and making the right match for the horse and rider is of upmost importance to me.π΄π
The horses will be coming in succession and will not all be here at the same time although one or two may potentially overlap. I will be posting the horses on my page as they come in.
The next to come in order will be;
Benji
Blaze
Pheonix
Pickles
However due to unforeseen circumstances there may be a delay for the last 3 listed and another horse that hasnβt been listed yet may take their place in the interim.
As I am sure you can appreciate selling horses is time consuming. I like to be thorough and ensure I do the best by the horse and person, I do not like to have too many at a time so that I can personalise this experience for those involved.
I also train, start horses under saddle, and coach lessons at home and peoples places so my time is limited.
Thank you for understanding. π
For all serious enquiries please call 0411218849
I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you ππ
ππππππ UPDATE - Dusty has found his home ππππππ
Stock horse gelding π
Name: Dusty
Breed: Stock horse (unregistered)
Age: 9
Height: 15.1hh
Gender: Gelding
Colour: Bay
Rider Suitability: Confident beginner (under instruction) to experienced
LOCATION: NABIAC - MID NORTH COAST 2312
Dusty is a beautiful boy who is looking for his person/home. Ready for a trusty partner that will love him and in return have a horse that will do anything for them.
As he cruises in the slow lane, he would suit a rider that is happy with more woah than go. He has 3 nice paces, with a soft snaffle mouth.
He will poke around on a loose reign or with no reigns, but also collect in a frame if ridden by a rider who can push these buttons. He is adaptable and can step it up or step it down adjusting to his rider. Such a babe. He does take his confidence from his person in some situations so a confident rider would be ideal. He has been ridden by plenty of beginners under instruction and takes care of them as he has a gentle soul.
But moving forward his owner would like him to go to someone who can be his leader through the times he needs it.
Can be ridden alone or with other horses, he is pretty eager to please.
I do know this boys history so can discuss him in more detail if needed. Was broken in by myself. Had my kids riding him after 6 weeks under saddle. Has gone on to do beach and trail rides, arena work and has been used as a lesson horse for more intermediate riders.
No known/shown Vices. No itch, health or soundness concerns.
Does sometimes put his ears back, nothing has come of it but it needs to be noted as this can be off putting to some.
Can be worried about being hosed. (We arenβt sure where this came from) but would require someone to be understanding and support him.
Good to paddock with other horses.
Easy to catch, shoe and float.
Has shown to be fine after a spell or with inconsistent work whilst in the care of the current owners.
Dusty is displaying lovely flat work.
We believe he would suit Trail and beach riding, team penning, pony club and cattle work.

Ever heard that saying : "A tired horse is a good horse?"
I don't agree with it. If you want to know why, keep reading. If you're dead set on that opinion save yourself the time and frustration of how wrong I am and scroll on by.
Firstly, I am well aware that yawns don't mean fatigue in horses, but are a sign of tension release. The photo of just fit the topic too well not to use.
So why don't I feel tiring a horse is a good tool to "make them behave?".
It relies on a common misconception that energy is a bad thing.
Energy doesn't cause behavioral issues, anxiety does. If there is energy and anxiety, in other words, anxious energy, you will get some short term, extremely limited results by tiring the horse out, but if you don't address the anxiety, every time you tire them out, they get fitter to fight you.
So, wet saddle blankets may work for the horses that resign themselves to defeat ( the broken horses), but this approach is one of the reasons there are so many "problem" horses. We don't actually address the reason for a behavior, or build the horses understanding, we just try ride them through it until they're too tired to argue.
I don't know
about you, but I am the least cooperative son of a gun when I'm tired.
If energy is paired with understanding, cooperation or happiness it's a good thing.
Cooperative energy
Happy energy.
Give me that in buckets, and don't spill a drop.

He has shown to be fine after a spell but like all young horses he will benefit with consistency. He has done flat work, beach rides and trails. He has only had limited outings. With three expression-able paces he would do well in most disciplines. He is eager to please and has a heart of gold. He can shy on occasion. Nothing comes of it but for this reason he needs someone with at least a balanced seat and confidence. He is still green in a lot of aspects, however has shown to be a good boy and taken care of my 7 year old son for the last 2 months. He has improved each ride since he has been here and really tries his best. π΄ Soft snaffle mouth π΄ Floaty stride π΄ Beautiful affectionate nature π΄ No major injuries or unsoundness π΄ Has displayed No nasties - no bolt, buck, rear, bite or kick π΄ Good to c,s,f currently barefoot and has good feet π΄ Good with other horses π΄ Has been ridden after a spell and has no vices π΄ Hasnβt shown to get hot or overly forward π΄ Gentle kind boy who aims to please π΄ Potential to make a good all rounder π΄ Hasnβt shown to be matey or herd bound whilst here π Waylon was withdrawn from
Watson is here and ready for his person. He is such a babe. Taking good care of my 7 year old Khoda today. He was a quick favourite here with my 2 boys and myself. He is listed in my group of horses for sale, however his own individual ad will come. π₯° I will be creating an album for all of his photos and videos as well.
