Dynasty park stud is located 5 minutes from Nairne and 45 minutes from the Adelaide CBD in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Susanne, Bob and Ashleigh Shearer jointly run Dynasty park stud. All three are passionate about horses and their equestrian pursuits! Bob started riding a a 9 yo and during his life has had a passion for owning stallions and breeding quality performance horses

. He is a very experienced horseman and spent the majority of his life working in the Mounted Police. As well as doing Mounted patrols he enjoyed the era of competing on police horses in tent pe***ng, section fours and showjumping. Leading the world famous musical ride was also a highlight of his career. Bob retired from SA Police in 2002 after spending the last ten years as the Mounted Police instructor - responsible for breaking-in and training the police horses as well as teaching the riders. Bob is now instructing at home and other locations around the state. When Bob isn't instructing he is handling and breaking-in young horses and further developing the property. With more cross country jumps to build and paddocks to set up the work never ends for him! Susanne also started riding young and was a successful show jump rider in her twenties. Susanne handed over the reins to Ashleigh and prefers the behind the scenes support role of strapping at the horse shows and just pleasure riding. Having spent thirteen years in the Mounted Police she now enjoys horse riding off duty only! Ashleigh has been riding since she was 4 years old and is now competing successfully in hacking. Breaking in and training her own show horses and competing at high level shows . Ash has a few ponies, galloways and hacks coming along which will no doubt be future successful show horses. Ash was a keen dancer but after nine years she has decided to hang up her point shoes and concentrate fully on her riding! Ashleigh has also completed her Honours degree in Psychology and is working for the Department of Child Protection. Susanne, Bob and Ashleigh work as a team in each of the school holidays to run the very popular Dynasty Park riding camps and clinics.

We had a great day with our Dynasty Park Lucky Knight at the SA All Welsh. Leo won his part welsh show hunter class, then champion part welsh show hunter before claiming Supreme Hunter! Leo placed in all of his other classes up against quality national winners. Very proud of our boy who was foot perfect all day 🧡🤍

Thank you to the hard working committee for a well run show! And thank you Manning Photography for the beautiful photos! 👏

Today we said goodbye to our favourite pony, a little horse who has been the heart and soul of Dynasty Park Stud for over 20 years, our little Minkie 💔🐴

Minkie was originally purchased for Ash to learn to ride on about 23 years ago. In the early years, he was a perfect school master on the lead but off he could test a rider’s seat with a few quick hot laps when frisky!

Over the years, this pony has taught well over 100 children to ride, including some of the now best young riders in South Australia. There are many adults who would say that they learnt their ‘up downs’, started cantering and developed a strong seat by riding this gun of a pony. He certainly has touched the lives of many.

Over his life, Minkie was not just Ash’s special pony or a school horse, he was a companion pony, a lawn mower and conducted ‘Minkie’s es**rt services’ accompanying many horses over hundreds of kilometres travelling around the country. Minkie was the ultimate, reliable all-rounder pony.

He was a pony we just thought would live forever and stilled enjoyed giving the occasional lesson to little children right up until the end.

Thank you Minkie for being the absolute legend that you are. We were so blessed to call you ours. Rest in Peace little man 🤍

Both ponies got their wins on a cold and windy day! Very pleased with our girl Lucy, not ridden yesterday and hardly all week due to Ash’s crazy work schedule, minimal work down before her class and she was such a good girl 🖤

🏆SHC Rising Star GNQ Show🏆
Dynasty Park Lucky Knight came Runner Up in his Preliminary Hunter Hack which was pleasing given the strong line up of horses. Leo also received a third in his Newcomer, 5th in his Owner Rider and the judges had Leo in the placing s for his very competitive open class.
Dynasty Park Let’s Dance only competed in her Large Show Hunter Galloway class and placed 5th in a large line up (16 entered). 🏆SHC T-Shirt Summer Hack Show🏆

Dynasty Park Lucky Knight attended his first show under saddle and we were so pleased with his work. Leo won all of his classes and although still a green baby, he handled the atmosphere like an old pro. It was nice not to have to plait that thick mane too, so thank you to the SHC committee for running a nice and relaxed show to start the season!

Thank you to our class sponsor DreeM Equestrian and the SHC committee for organising a great show and prizes!

Today we said goodbye to one of the most loved school horses at Dynasty Park Stud. Zara has been a part of our family for the last 15 years and has been the ultimate schoolmaster, confidence builder, fun and kind mare. For the last few years she has been living the high life in retirement as she deserved. Today at 33 years of age, we said thank you and farewell to a special horse. Rest easy old girl ♥️
