Roadworks begin on the main street of Nairne from Monday 10th February

NAIRNE MAIN STREET UPGRADE

Construction works to deliver the next stage of the Nairne Main Street upgrade are set to start on Monday 10 February 2025.

This latest stage includes streetscape upgrade works which will be undertaken along the southern side of Old Princes Highway from the intersection with Leith Street to the Nairne Soldiers Memorial Hall.

Works will comprise:

🚧 new footpaths
🚧 paving
🚧 landscaping
🚧 outdoor dining
🚧 retaining walls
🚧 stormwater drainage
🚧 service diversions
🚧 kerbing
🚧 irrigation

The existing Nairne Memorial Hall car park will also be reconfigured and upgraded including new driveway access, stormwater, surfacing, lighting and line marking.

These works build on upgrades completed in previous years and are expected to take approximately five months to complete.

Traffic and pedestrian management will be in place while construction is undertaken so please take care when travelling through the area.

Our hours over the Christmas break will be -

Wednesday 25th December CLOSED
Thursday 26th December CLOSED
Friday 27th December CLOSED
Saturday 28th December CLOSED
Monday 30th December 8-7
Tuesday 31st December 8-5
Wednesday 1st January CLOSED
Thursday 2nd January onwards - Normal operating hours (8-7 Monday - Friday and 8-1 Saturday)

You may notice we are closing the clinic for a couple of extra days than usual. After a challenging few months, we are looking forward to some much needed family time.

If veterinary care is required while we are closed, we have some wonderful clinics around the hills that are happy to see you. Mount Barker Vet on Flaxley Road, Greencross on Wellington Road and Vet in the Hills in Woodside.
Otherwise, the emergency clinics in Adelaide are open 24/7 - SASH 8133 5300 and AEC 8132 0533.

Good morning clients

There is movie being filmed in Nairne today.
The road will be blocked from the Foodland end of Nairne to the clinic. Detours are in place.

If you are coming from Mount Barker, there is a sign "local traffic only", please let them know you are coming to the vet clinic. They will let you through :)

To our loyal clients and friends,

You may have noticed it has been harder to book an appointment with me and Michael over the past few weeks. Our family has been rocked by the devastating news that our 2yo son Jude has cancer. He has started chemotherapy and is in good spirits but has a tough journey ahead of him.

Michael will remain in a clinical role at the surgery but I have taken leave to care for Jude throughout his recovery. We will remain open for our normal trading hours, but you may see a few new vet faces around that are helping to fill in the gaps in my temporary absence.

We have been embraced by our family, friends and work family and they have carried us through our darkest hour. We ask only that you please be patient with us and our team while we navigate this trying time.
