Do you remember Jemma, the wombat who ate eight other makers teats in one day?

She is absolutely gorgeous and a healthy 25 kilos now! I'm so glad to have been able to help in a very small way with her rehab.

Our wildlife is so precious and deserves the very best in care. Our wildlife carers are worth their weight in platinum, send the ones you know as much love as you can!

Prettty sure that Pandora's box was full of rescued ducklings. Utter and delightful chaos!

These little shell ducks were picked up by an awesome MOP and came to chill with me before being handed to an experienced rescuer. Sadly, their mum was hit by a car and did not survive.

So glad to have been able to send Jemma some teats to help make her recovery easier. Mange is horrible and requires long term care and dedicated people doing the hard work!

Jemma is being looked after by Wombat Rescue and is currently using the Thickest of the Sweet teats with a 1.2mm thick wall.

Video is of a dark coloured wombat being bottle fed. The wombat is chewing and grinding her jaws on the teat and pauses to have a scratch.

Hi everyone!

It's that time of the year when we remember that we are supposed to start new finance spread sheets and track things (or catch up on them for last year).

Here is a basic little spread sheet that you can download to help track invoices sent and paid and also donations made to accounts.

With luck it will save you a BUNCH of time, you can download it to your computer or your own google sheets account by clicking on File - Download or File - Make a Copy

Create a new spreadsheet and edit with others at the same time -- from your computer, phone or tablet. Get stuff done with or without an internet connection. Use Sheets to edit Excel files. Free from Google.

Here is a update on something I am VERY proud of.

While I have been working to make more robust, longer lasting teat, I am also concerned about what happens to the teats after they are broken.

The answer is a bit of old fashioned elbow grease.

I make silicone molds for my resin crafts, and silicone sticks to silicone. So by reducing the teats to tiny pieces I can save money with new molds by adding in filler, AND recycle the teats that are no longer useful to the animals.

Im hoping to pair with carers to have their blown teats sent back when a post box or bag is filled, and I'll reimburse postage and send back a couple of joey pouches as a thank you!

What do you guys think?

27/02/2021

This little bitey ringtail has been giving the silicone teat a good chomping. I then did a squeeze test to see if there were any leaks.

The 0.8mm thickness dealt with this savaging, here's hoping that the thinner syringe teats will also cope!

Have I mentioned I'm working really hard AND having a blast!!

Here is another video from Mount Gambier Wildlife Carer.

A gorgeous pinkie having a go at the pointy Pinkite teat.

Lots of good feedback on the multiple ways to use the teat with both the fl**ge and bottle top fit working with existing carer bottles.

Starting to see pics and videos *squeeeeeeee* come back from the first mail out of teat testing packs!

Huge shout out to Mount Gambier Wildlife Carer for the video below showing Ellie the Wombat testing the thicker 18B2. As shes a chewer, im hoping that they last longer than a month with her!!!

Today is the day!!!

Launch packs! One big roo size and one small roo size sent to you!

$12.00 for the pack plus postage of 8 dollars to anywhere in Australia!!

Why are sweet teats different?

Sweet teats are not dip mold teats. This let's me make them a consistent thickness from the bottom to the tip! (Little is 0.8mm thick and bigger is 1.0m thick)

I'm using BPA free, food safe silicone!

Each teat sets under 40psi of air pressure. This helps eliminate more bubbles in the teat and increases resistance against tears

Every teat has a fl**ge, AND a grip lip! I understand that lots of carers have dexterity issues for 4am feedings, the fl**ge makes it easier to apply to bottles.

The fl**ge is designed to fit into a standard baby bottle cap as well.

These launch packs are coming as random colours! (Reds, blues, purples and clears)

I am after feedback (both written and photos, good and bad!!) and will include an easy to fill in survey!

The textured outside of the teat has been designed with teat rejection in mind. Here's hoping for nice mouth feel!

These teats will survive in the dish washer and boiling water!

How to order. Send me a message here, or email [email protected] with your order.

I can both direct debit and PayPal.

These packs are limited to the first 100 sold! You can buy multiple packs and I'll combine the postage

Share with other carers! The more people I can get feed back from the better I can make these and future teats!!!

12/01/2021

They do fail. thats why I test them, i push things to their limits. but I don't have multiple mouths to feed, not like the multitude of amazing carers in Australia.

As an introductory price I'm offering what I call the Helpful Hundred. The first 100 of my smallest and largest current designs (for Kangaroos) so that you can put them through their paces and test them for yourself.

More details and sale of the packs will be out on the 18th of January :D

06/01/2021

More Testing. You can always send your questions to me here, or via the email [email protected]

I'm also happy to get feed back of all kinds, photos of animals and carers and even requests for new designs :D

Tonight's game is finding the right sized diameter for pre-made holes. Some carers have made me super aware of the problems with aspiration and Aspiration Pneumonia so getting the holes right is a huge step in the direction of launching a heavily tested product.

So far with the holes, no luck at all!! but the night is young and I own a surprising amount of metal pins!
