Thank you to the Beachport Post Office who collected $235.05 for SEAWL with their counter top money box. Plus donating bedding, cat & dog food from their collection point in store 🐾

There’s a dog called Ralph, a kelpie so bright
Eyes full of courage, shining with great might
He’s been through a lot, but never gave in
Fighting each battle with a tail waggin’ grin

Six months ago, he faced the toughest of trials
His leg had to go, so relearnt how to run miles
Then came the blasted snake, a strike from the grass
Ralph the unlucky kelpie, had to run fast

Now epilepsy has come, but Ralph won’t back down
All three of his paws planted firmly on this ground
With love and care he takes on each day
Ralph the wonder farm dog is here to stay!

Mon and Emily are out the front of the Naracoorte post office for the next hour for our first fundraiser of the year 🙌🏻 We are asking for donations for South East Animal Welfare League (SEAWL) 🐶🐱

The South East Animal Welfare League (SEAWL) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides shelter for homeless and unwanted animals across the South East and surrounding areas.

We are asking for $2 donations to go in the draw for donated prizes by Rural Vet Services.

We will be down the street two more times over the next four weeks. Tickets can also be purchased in clinic 💞

💓🐶Pippa the hero🐶💓

Last Wednesday Pippa had been relaxing inside her family home out of the heat when all of a sudden her day was ruined by a slithery intruder! 🐍
Luckily for the family Pippa’s Jack Russel instincts kicked in-unlucky for snake.
Pippa did also manage to get bitten.
Her family did a great job to rush her into the clinic where she received emergency care.
Pippa needed intubation and ventilation urgently as she was not able to breath for herself. After 2 vials of antivenom, oxygenation and intensive care Pippa started to recover.

Our team was initially quite worried she wouldn’t make it but with a lot of care and support she has recovered and is enjoying being home with her lovely family 🥰🐶

🇦🇺 Australian summer=grass seeds! 🇦🇺
Who wins the best grass seed removal from nose? Claire from Tommy’s nose (12 year old Jack Russell) just before Chrissy or Bree last week from Charlie’s nose (8 year old poodle) 🐶🙌🏻

Vet Emily is actually leading our “grass seeds removed” tally board at 23 in total this summer (from multiple animals) 🤯

🐱 Great News! FIV vaccines are now back in stock 🐱

FIV (aka Feline Aids) is an immune disease of cats with no cure. FIV is becoming increasingly prevelant in our area and is spread from cat to cat through bites and scratches. FIV is easily preventable with a course of vaccinations.

If you’d like to protect your cat, don’t hesitate to give us a call 📞
