Please like or comment if you would potentially be interested in an injection for your dog that would protect them against fleas and paralysis ticks for ONE ENTIRE YEAR! 🤯

We would all be laughing it flea prevention was so simple! Our staff are really keen to get this product in so please show your interest below (it will help us allow for planning and stocking the product).

❤️‍🔥 Free Heartworm Test❤️‍🔥

🪱 What is heartworm?
Potentially deadly disease in dogs which is spread by mosquitoes. The adult worm affects the heart and arteries of the lungs.

🇦🇺 Where is it more common? Tropical regions such as Queensland. So if you travel interstate you must get the preventative injection-which we also have in clinic.

🤔Why should I worry?
There has been a case in Adelaide and a fox has tested positive in Mount Gambier. Prevention is cheaper than treatment (literally thousands of dollars for treatment costs).

But what is FREE are the tests!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
As Vets it’s our responsibility to monitor diseases in the area so give us a call and book in for a simple test 📞

Kirby, Alice and Emily had a pretty difficult job on Saturday judging the local Naracoorte show Pet Competition 🐶🐈🐴
We love supporting local events and it was great fun! By far the most difficult was to judge the best dressed!

Thanks to those who supported the show this year. We look forward to next year 🙌🏼🙌🏼

💓International Vet Nurse Day 💓

We celebrate Vet Nurses on this day every year because Nurses play a vital role in animal care 🙌🏼

Our Nurses are highly skilled and dedicated. They are the ones to provide a shoulder to lean on, a gentle touch when needed, handle all sorts of animals, discuss finances, medicate, X-ray, complete blood collection and analysis-really absolutely everything but surgery!

We love providing a work environment which allows our Nurses to be the best they can be AND we thank them everyday for their work 🙌🏼

We have recently warmly welcomed Vet Imy to our team 🙌🏼🤩

Originally from Queensland, Imy graduated from James Cook University in December 2023 📚

From Imy herself; “Having always been drawn to small town communities and mixed veterinary practice I commenced my career in the Riverland, then moved to Rural Vets in September. I love all aspects of mixed practice, with a keen passion for large animal surgery and medicine. I’m excited to get involved in the community and provide care for livestock and pets in the area”

In Imy’s spare time she enjoys getting outdoors with her pup: Dobby, hiking, camping, skateboarding and footy 🐶 🥾 💖

Imy has already been out to a couple of calvings and lambing call outs. Here she is pictured with Missy one of our Naracoorte clients horses and spring time feed 🐴 🤩
