A good posture is important for the efficient functioning of the body. It keeps joints and bones correctly aligned for a better function of the musculoskeletal system
It minimises abnormal wear of joint surfaces
It decreases stress on ligaments and tendons
It prevents back problems
It ensures muscles are used efficiently and effectively, reducing strain and overuse. It allows optimum functioning of the internal organs and nervous system. Natural Horsemanship is the understanding of the horse's natural instinct and body language. It able us to communicate with the horse in his own language so that he willingly performs his handler's wishes without use of force or cruelty.
4 weeks since I met Monto and got the opportunity to lease her. A lot of treatments and training, she is looking fantastic 🤩. I love this mare she is my soulmate. I didn't have much time but I was able to do some ground work with Monto this afternoon 🌈.
It blows my mind how much she has improved with her mobility for the last two weeks. Monto is an ex cattle farm stock horse. She is pretty tight everywhere but mainly behind and her neck. She couldn't turn her neck to look at me or even scratch herself. She was struggling turning around and wouldn't cross her hindquarters. She was stepping short as well.
I spent about a week treating her and stretching her before even thinking about riding her. I wanted to make sure she was pain free and that she could move around freely. She is still not great in her action but she has improved by 50%. We still have a long way to go but she's coming around nicely. I also figured out she doesn't like the english style riding. Not responding to direct rein actions and really doesn't like the contact with the bit. Everything she does tells me that she had been educated western style. I tested her out and she responded very well to all my cues. Instead of fighting with her or trying to re-educate her, I'd prefer putting her in a setting where she is happy. I also rode her ba****ck today and cantered her around the round yard, she was awesome 👌🏽.
🌞 Everyday I'm looking forward to spending more time with her. It is important to me that her and I have a good relationship and understanding of each other. It is a real gift for to have in my life 🥰. Thank you Slickers 🙏🏽🌹.

Due to personal circumstances and no fault of her own, 2½ year old filly Brumby from Kosciuszko National Park. Microchipped, vaccinated, wormed.
Too was born in captivity, she is very social, loves people and cuddles. She is confident and can be pushy if she thinks she doesn't have all of your attention 😆. She has a lot of potential and she is desperately looking for her new home or at least a lease. Her owner is very heartbroken and only wants what is the best for her.

Today was a big day for me at Slickers Horse Riding 😅. I treated a few horses but I also got the chance to spend time with Monto. Absolute sweet heart of a horse ❤️. I am so greateful and lucky to be able to do what I love the most: looking after horses 🐎.
Went through a few old photos this afternoon and found these little gems 🥰 from 2015 back in France. Ayanna was a solid black appaloosa that I purchased when she was 6 month old. She was the absolute best. Then there was this stunning standard bred that I had to re-educate for a customer. Just came out of the races.. I can't remember his name but he was an absolute sweet heart and people pleaser. After his retraining he ended up being a fantastic show jumper.

She is such a beauty 😍 and lovely to ride. She was a bit sceptical for her first treatment but now she absolutely loves it. She quickly realised I'm here to help her, not to hurt her. I love seing them so calm and cuddly after their treatment.

Cullinan had 2 treatments for the last 2 weeks. His performance on the track has improved and also his balance. He is a much happier horse from what his rider has reported. I can't wait to see him on the race track 🙌🏽.

This morning I was pleased to meet Helsun with his lovely owner/trainer Dani Markey. What a fabulous pair. Dani really cares about "Sunny" and hope that with my help we will get him back on the track soon. Sunny had suffered in the past of tying up syndrome and can be overwhelmed when riding on the track. I spent time releasing his back and hindquarters. His shoulders were overworking due to the lack of propulsion. After the treatment, Sunny was happy and playful in his boxe. A sight that his owner hadn't seen in a while. He was such a sweetheart and a pleasure to treat. I will keep helping this pair and fingers crossed 🤞🏽, we will see them at the racetrack soon 🤗.

Black Hat does whatever Black Hat wants to do 🤷🏽♀️. That is his motto 😅. After a rough start we ended the session on a good note. Sometimes Black Hat can be strong headed but, he is a kind horse and has good bones. I can't wait to see his progress the next few weeks. I will be working on a lot of things but my priority is his topline and hindquarters. He has a tendency of carrying his head high and dragging his hindquarters. I had a bit of different kind of client last week 😅. Ghodie the cat had a little accident 3 weeks ago and injured his back, leadind to the nerve btw the sacral vertebre and the last lumbar vertebre being pinched. At this stage he couldn't stand up anymore and required daily physio exercises to regain his full mobility. His lovely owner called me and I gave him a treatment with some other exercises that she could practice with him. We saw some slight improvements straight after the treatment such as movement in his tail and back legs 🤗. After 1 week, he is finally standing up. Simone Louise. I was given the opportunity to treat this felly that I have been riding for a few months at work. She was showing some lack of performance during her morning work including races. I saw some great improvements after a couple of weeks/treatments. She was experiencing some pain in the lumbar area, wither, sacrum,shoulders and neck. I also found after a couple of moves that her jaw was also affected. All related to her imbalance in the nearside sacrum area. She has been over working on one side for quite some time now and it will take time and work to help her with this issue. The treatments have been helping her. Her perfomance, as well as her attitude, have improved 👌🏽. It is a team work and it will take some time to readjust her body to get back to her top performance but she is doing really well so far.
