To all of our dear and loyal customers both old and new.

Sadly due to our ongoing health and Nevs well being we are having to bid everyone farewell.

We are retiring from the boarding kennel business.
Nev and myself have talked it through and have decided it is for the best.

As many of you know Nev has been in hospital for near on 10 weeks, well finally he came home to begin the long road of recovery.
He almost was taken from me twice while in hospital.

It is undecided if we will sell this beautiful place we also call home here on the farm, but it more than likely will eventually go on the market as we feel Narrandera still needs an affordable form of quality pet boarding for their beautiful pets.

We have been blessed to have shared our lives with many other family members, seeing them grow from puppyhood through to old age.

It has been a real pleasure and we have enjoyed every bit of it.

I will like to say we will honor any bookings that have been made in advance.

Sadly we will only at this stage take now more than a couple of bookings for christmas to help anyone out that is truely stuck for somewhere for their pet/pets.

We are no longer taking cats........

To all our existing customers or anyone wishing to book their pet in we will be closed till possibly the end of August 2024.

As many of you know Nev you may not know that he was flown to Sydney via flying doctor a week back,
Nev has been in hospital for a month now and if waiting for surgery on his back.
At the moment he can not walk, sit or stand so he is being given pain management at very high doses.

Because of these meds, Nev is unable to text etc very well.

Along with this he was tested positive for Covid two days ago and is now being placed onto a nebulizer amongst other things.

As I am still recovering from a no related covid I will not be taking any pets as I need to get well too.

If you have pets booked in for August I will honor them so please contact me on (02) 69593365 and I will call back to arrange

Once again we are sorry that we can not provide the care needed for your pet at this time.

Please all keep Nev in your thoughts and wish him a good recovery.

Narrandera pet motel is a small family owned boarding kennels and cattery, i provide personal care to our customers pets, as we dont employ anyone. So they get used to me very quickly. Please book early at Narrandera pet motel or message me, for cats, dogs, horses an many small pets for a stay. They will get the best care i can give. we now only cater for locals and regular customers, due to my health. thanks

Narrandera pet motel has 3 kittens, 2 black 1 silver gray. They have been wormed and flea treated. The kittens are very healthy, there free an i offer half price cat boarding for these kittens. We going to have them vaccinated soon then they will be charge to cover that cost. Thanks

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business.
Running a business is really hard.
What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people.
People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.
Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.
You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.
Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work-life balance.
You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All the while being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend...
There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed.
It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.
Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives.
Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!
And know that 2022 prices are not 2023 prices.
I'm tired and do my best for my customers, for some that is not enough. It's Narrandera that looses out if we close
