Little Joey brought in today to our Coliie Vet Hospital after his mother was hit and killed by a car. He was checked out by our Collie vets, given a good feed and passed on to the wildlife carers who will take excellent care of him until he is old and strong enough, to be released.

We have 11 week old kittens that are needing homes. We have 3 females kittens and 1 male kitten looking for their forever home.

They have had:
-Worming every 2 weeks
-1st Vaccination

This week's temperatures are set to soar across WA.

We are asking all pet owners to remember that animals need protection from extreme weather too!

We have listed some top tips to keep your pets cool this summer!

✅Make sure pets have access to shade, or better yet, bring them inside.
✅Make sure there are multiple bowls of cool water available.
✅DO NOT tie dogs up and leave them unsupervised – we have seen cases where their leads are too short, leaving them to not be able to access any shade or water which has led to heatstroke deaths.
✅Ensure rabbits, guinea pigs and rats have frozen water bottles to keep themselves cool.
✅LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME! Dogs die in hot cars – it is not safe to leave your dog in the car, even while quickly ducking into the shop.

Please do not walk your pet in the heat of the day! If you can’t leave your hand on the road or footpath comfortably for five seconds, then their paws will burn!

If you see a dog in a hot car, note down the vehicle's registration number and location and report it immediately.
