Rislani is a small cattery based in West Gippsland Victoria and has been operating since August 2006 We do not have any tabby (linx) or bi-colour litters.

We are proudly registered with The Australian National Cats Inc. (ANCATs) (Member number: 10841) and attend as many shows as we possibly can. Please be aware: If we have a cat due to give birth, or have famil

y commitments, we will not be attending shows run on these dates. Our Siamese & Orientals breeding program
Originally, when we became registered breeders, we simply aimed to breed healthy well-adjusted kittens that would become the type of pet we experienced ourselves with Fabio. However, as time drew on we made the decision to move into specialising in older style Siamese. As traditional, or applehead Siamese are quite uncommon, and we are using modern lines, our progression to older style siamese is still very much a work in progress. However, as time goes by we are getting more and more litters with more older styled babies in them. At this time, we are breeding cats that are about halfway in-between the current modern and old style siamese/oriental. Please note: We breed only solid colours in both Siamese & Orientals. Colours currently bred by us include:
Siamese:
- Seal Point
- Chocolate Point
- Blue Point
- Lilac Point
- Cinnamon Point
- Fawn Point
Orientals:
- Black (Ebony)
- Chocolate (Havana)
- Blue
- Lilac
- Cinnamon
- Fawn
All of our breeding cats are DNA tested for PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) shortly after their arrival at Rislani. At present we are using UC Davis Veterinary Medicine in the USA or Orivet to perform these DNA tests. Our PER Source Code is: RB114480

***MISSING CAT***

If you happen to live in the Essendon area, please keep your eyes out of Percy. Percy has been a very naughty boy and slipped out the door last night much to his owner's horror and is now missing.

Percy is a des*xed male and IS Microchipped. If you spot Percy please let us know ASAP so we can contact Percy's owner who is extremely upset and worried about him.

We just had our first vaccines and it's time to start auditioning people to potentially be our new humans.

Lately, all our mumma's have decided their kittens need to be on our bed.

It's scary sleeping with such itty bitty babies as you worry about rolling over in your sleep and squishing one... or them hurting themselves falling off the bed...
..but determined mumma's seem to win this argument here... and then they look super proud of themselves!!

It's taken a few days for me to announce this one. March 12 was a day of incredible loss, and new beginnings.

At precisely 12:05am, our much loved Dbl GD CH Rislani Bindi drew her last breath and passed away in our arms between us in our bed.

But we were not allowed any real time to grieve as within only a couple of hours, Aphrodite went into labour and gave birth to 5 babies.

We have not s*xed these babies yet, but there are: 3x lilac orientals and 2x siamese.

Sorry to all our followers, we have been a bit slack with updates about Kalypso's litter.

Unfortunately, right after the drama with Harmonia's litter, we learnt our beautiful retiree who stayed with us, Bindi, is terminal. We have, therefore, been spending a significant amount of time with her and making her as comfortable and loved as we possibly can before her time on this earth is up. This could be days... it could be weeks, we don't know... so are treasuring every moment with her we can right now.

The people in first option to adopt position for these babies have been emailed/messaged and should they not be in a position to adopt we will be moving down the wait list to the next person.

We have some extremely sad news, but also some happy news to report.

Unfortunately, Harmonia lost all her babies. Harmonia will be des*xed now as she has been quite distressed by what's happened and her mental and physical wellbeing is our top priority right now.

In happier news, Aphrodite is expecting! These babies are due early to mid March.

So we've had something happen at Rislani that has not happened for quite some time - the s*x change fairy visited!!

This blue oriental is not a boy and is in fact a girl!!

Because of this - at this time (pending DNA testing to see if she will be suitable to mate to our boys) this girl will be remaining at Rislani as from the moment the litter arrived we were REALLY hoping this kitten would be a girl.

Just a reminder at Rislani Cats we do have a disabled cat - Phoenix Rising.

Phoenix is not in any pain.
Yes, she walks funny, sits with her rear legs poking out in front of her, and often is seen sliding about on her butt. As a wee kitten, Phoenix broke her back in 2 places. As a result, she has permanent nerve damage and limited sensation in her hind legs.

She is one of our happiest cats who does not let her disability from letting her live her life to the fullest - she'll even use the cat wheel! ❤️

Phoenix even has her own page - Phoenix Rising - to share her story with the world to give hope to others who have cats that suffer similar injuries.

Today we are saying a fond farewell to the beautiful Marshall.

Marshall is packing his bags for a jetplane and heading on his way to Tasmania where in the future he will become a Daddy himself for another breeder. If in Tasmania you may also spot him on a show bench near you as his new owner intends on showing him.

We are going to miss this quirky little fella. He's quite the character.... and gets up to all sorts of mischief... including jumping into the dishwasher when you are loading/unloading it... it's gonna take a while to get out of the habit of doing the "Marshall check" before closing the door.
