With a passion for pets and years of experience, Dr. Sue is a much-loved part of our Central New Farm Clinic family. Here's a little peek into the world of our Lead Vet:

πŸ’š What was your dream childhood profession?
Vet (haha!!) - although before that, I dreamed of being a librarian.
πŸ’š What qualifications do you have?
Bachelor of Veterinary Science, Membership of the College of Veterinary Scientists in Feline Medicine, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (Canada).
πŸ’š What do you like most about working at the Central New Farm Vet Clinic?
I love our cosy little clinic where everything I need is within arm's reach! I have also loved being part of the New Farm community for the last 18 years, and training up approximately 30 vet nurses.
πŸ’š What do you love doing in your spare time?
Yoga, gardening, and line dancing.
πŸ’š What pets do you have?
One older cat (Andrew), and a recent addition to the family, a kitten (Sammy)
πŸ’š What is your favourite animal?
I really love wild birds.

Say hi to Dr. Sue next time you visit or drop a question for her in the comments below!

As we head into the cooler months, it's essential to ensure your pets stay happy and healthy all winter long. Here are our top winter care tips:

❄️ Warm bedding: Provide cozy and insulated bedding to keep your pets comfortable.
❄️ Indoor comfort: Limit outdoor time during extreme cold and ensure they have a warm indoor space.
❄️ Nutrition: Maintain a balanced diet to support their immune system.
❄️ Regular check-ups: Schedule a winter wellness exam to catch any seasonal health issues early.
❄️ Parasite prevention: Continue flea and tick prevention, as these pests can still be active.

What an amazing time it was to witness 3 generations come into the clinic together. Here you have Stella (on the left) with her daughter Delilah (on the right) and her 2 puppies. This was Delilah’s first litter of puppies where she gave birth to Bruno (the male chocolate and tan puppy) and Maisie ( the little female chocolate puppy) 🐢 😊
