You might have seen a beautiful, new face at our clinic! ♥️ Kiara comes with a huge amount of experience and a natural wit and humour we adore. She is incredibly caring and an absolute natural when it comes to all things vet nursing.

Kiara has been vet nursing for 7 years. She really enjoys all aspects of surgery and anaesthesia. She prides herself in making sure all pets have a comfortable, pain free experience. Kiara also owns a beautiful Rotti called Nina that is her absolute world 🐶♥️

Fun fact! She is currently studying to become a registered (human) nurse 👩‍⚕️

Tick season is upon us! We recommend your pets being on preventative treatment all year round, however as the days start warming up, the more your pet is susceptible to getting a tick.

Prevention products can save your pet from tick paralysis and a hefty vet bill!

Symptoms of tick paralysis to look out for are below. If you think your pet has a tick, contact us immediately on 4072 4700. If it's after hours, call the Animal Referral and Emergency Centre on 1300 838 669.

Do you not wait till next day! Identifying a paralysis tick early, increases your pet's chances of survival ❤🐾

If your pet isn't on tick prevention, we recommend getting onto it soon! Tick paralysis is no joke and treating it is expensive.

Preventative treatment like Simparica Trio, Bravecto and Nexgard Spectra are available over the counter at our clinic.

Remember your pets don’t need to live near or be walking through bush to pick up these nasties – ticks will find pets in your own backyard. 😪

We are so excited to announce Dr. Emma has joined our team! 🐾❤😀
Loved by our nurses and Dr. Cassy who have previously worked beside her, we are so happy to have such a caring and talented vet join us!

Emma graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/ Bachelor of Veterinary Science in mid 2020. Emma began her career at a small animal clinic in Dubbo before moving to Newcastle and worked locally.

Emma knew from a young age that she wanted to be a Veterinarian and is now living her dream, she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. She loves the diversity of cases able to be seen on a daily basis and has a particular interest in small animal surgery and ophthalmology.

🐾 NEW PET REGISTRATION RULES YOU NEED TO KNOW 🐾

Prior to July 2nd of this year, pet owners had 6 months to register their fur babies.
Now, all dogs and cats in NSW must be registered with the NSW Pet Registry either by 12 weeks of ages or immediately upon transfer (if the animal is new and/or come from a breeder)

We do FREE DENTAL CHECKS! 🦷

This includes checking your pet for gum disease, tartar buildup and tooth decay. Our vet can also do up an estimate for your pet if they would benefit from a scale and polish or if extractions are needed.

Dental health is a very important part of your pet's overall health, and dental problems can cause, or be caused by, other health problems.

Sweet Prince came in to see us when his owner discovered a lump in his throat. Upon examination Dr Darren discovered an abscess the size of a golf ball! The next day we got Prince in for surgery where we lanced the area to remove all the fluid build up and placed a drain to help release any further fluids over the following 3 days. Prince has since had his drain removed and is doing amazing whilst recovering! His sweet nature definitely earned him patient of the day and has handled having to wear a cone (party hat) like an absolute champion! We are proud of you, Prince! 👑

We thought it was about time we start introducing you to our lovely team! Meet Hannah ☺️👋🏼

Han been working as a fully qualified vet nurse since 2017. Living locally, Hannah is excited to meet all the beautiful pets from the area.
Hannah is especially interested in surgical cases and loves to help make all your pets feel extra loved during their recovery.
She has a special interest in new puppy information to help ensure that new pet parents are well equipped with all the resources they need for their pups best start in life!
Additionally, she has a keen interest in wildlife, eager to help all the weird and wonderful creatures that visit the clinic.
When she’s not at work you’ll find Hannah down at the park with her son, a Greyhound named Monte.
Hannah is here to offer compassionate care and advice to help all your animals lead healthy and happy lives!

We feel incredibly lucky to have Han at our clinic. She is hilarious, caring and very passionate about looking after your pets ♥️

You know it's going to be a good day when you get to look after an echidna! 🦔

This little cutie was found head first, stuck in a wooden pallet! Luckily, good Samaritan Shane was able to rescue him and bring him in for a check over with Dr Cassy.

This little guy had an x-ray to rule out any fractures or injuries. Other than some ticks that needed removing while he was asleep, he was given the all clear!
He is a very healthy weight, as you can see 🥰

He was collected by a wildlife carer and released late yesterday afternoon. We love a wildlife success story ❤❤❤

We had beautiful boy, Rambo, come into the clinic with a bone wedged in his teeth that was causing him grief. Luckily, Rambo was a calm boy and a 10/10 patient! We were able to remove it without sedation and he walked out like nothing ever happened! ♥️

Frank and his beautiful teef! 🤭😍

This cutie patootie came in for some help with his skin issues but we couldn’t look past his cute little face.

Frank was such a good boy during his consultation with Dr Cassy, so of course we made time for a little photoshoot with treats after! ♥️🐾

Okay Lambton, we need you! Poppy is a curious, beautiful 14 year old girl.

It’s unusual for her to not be home and her owners haven’t been able to find her since yesterday.

If you live around Wallarah Road and Neruta Lane in New Lambton please keep an eye out for her! She may have gotten herself stuck inside somewhere.

She is very loved and we ask if you find her to call us immediately and keep an eye on her. If you try to catch her she might get spooked ♥️
