Newcastles newest story dog JJ passed his assessment this week.
He can’t wait to help kids with their reading.
Story dogs is such an amazing program and we are always looking for new dog teams, sponsors, supporters or schools to get on board.

Spartacus joined his family a few weeks ago and is learning all about the world.
We visited him and his family to get his training on track and work on building his focus and engagement with them outside of the house especially around distractions.
They have goals to work towards and are super committed to helping Spartacus become the best boy he can be.

Floyd is learning how to control his paws when the kids come outside.

Waffle has run into some trouble living with the kids in his household.
We did a visit all together to help the kids learn how to communicate with Waffle and read his body language. Started some training and games to build trust and have some fun together.

Elsie has found herself needing a different home.
She joined her now family in Dec 2023 from a rescue group.
Elsie is a German Pinscher X born on 25/08/2023.
She is affectionate, playful and high energy. Happily lives with two 3 year olds.
Crate and toilet trained. Elsie is excellent on a lead and has basic obedience training.
 Elsie is now searching for a new home as she has ongoing difficulties with one of the other two dogs she currently lives with. Outside of this she has been fine with all other dogs in the family and her dog daycare friends.
 In her new home Elsie will be looking for an environment with plenty of mental stimulation and physical exercise. A patient person who can understand and work with her anxious nature. Only dog or with another tested dog.
 Elsie can be fearful of new people and men, but with time and understanding, she builds trust and shows her loving personality.

Elsie has undergone training with us and we all agree a new home is the best and safest option for all involved.
We are happy to provide continued training and support to help her transition to her new home.

Ramon is starting off some basic training to build a strong bond with his mum and increase his confidence around other dogs and people.
He is super lucky to be adopted by his family who are ready to work hard and provide Ramon with everything he needs along the way.

Wally does not mind being left at home alone but the initial few minutes of FOMO are chaos.
Identifying the difference between separation anxiety and other causes is important for our treatment plan.
Wally’s family have the skills now to help break the cycle.

Sadie loves her mum so much that now someone else has entered the chat Sadie can get stressed. We implemented a heap of strategies to help Sadie relax and feel better they can all live happily together.
