MEET OUR AMAZING TEAM

Meet Dr. Sigrid, who joined our Newtown Vet team in March after moving from Bathurst, NSW!
Growing up in Sydney, Dr. Sigrid always had a passion for animals and knew she wanted to work with them.
She loves all aspects of veterinary care and enjoys building connections with pets and their families.
In September, she tied the knot with her long-term partner, Colin, in a beautiful garden estate wedding surrounded by close family and friends in Bathurst.
Outside of work, Dr. Sigrid enjoys listening to '80s rock and modern pop, as well as staying active with cardio tennis.
Thanks to her husband, an avid Cats fan, she’s recently switched her allegiance from Rugby Union to AFL!

Meet Jimmy the greyhound 🐾 Jimmy is here for a sedation so Dr Vicky can take a closer look at hose swollen foot. Here’s to figuring out what’s going on and getting this sweet boy back on his paws soon!

Dr Katie is on the case, and in search of a grass seed. Did you know grass seeds can be a serious concern for dogs? And we are currently in grass seed season. These pesky seeds can get stuck in their ears, paws, and fur, leading to discomfort and even infection. Make sure to check over your pets after outdoor adventures 🌾

Today we had the pleasure of helping our brave little buddy, Axel, with cherry eye surgery. Cherry eye occurs when a dogs third eyelid gland protrudes, creating visible swelling in the corner of the eye. While it’s not usually painful, it can lead to complications if left untreated. With a little bit of anesthesia and a little love we helped Axel to see clearly again!
