Firstly, I would just like to say thank you for all of your kind words and support in the previous post, my team and I are very passionate about our roles here in the salon and we are beyond grateful and appreciate this high praise but just to let you all know we don’t do what we do for credit or popularity, We do everything with kindness from the bottom of our hearts as we are very passionate and dedicated to helping our beloved customers being owner and pet. 💙

For those who don’t know, we are dedicated to creating a safe and loving environment for every furry friend in our care. We want to emphasize that we do not tolerate any form of abuse toward our team or your pets. Each grooming session is unique, and the duration can never be guaranteed due to factors like your dog’s behavior and specific grooming needs, such as matting or coat type. Our hardworking and passionate team takes extra time to ensure the highest quality of service, prioritizing safety and avoiding rushed, unsatisfactory results.

As we manage the flow of grooming appointments, please understand that the grooming of one dog can influence the timing for others. Each pet requires individual attention, and if a dog needs extra care due to anxiety or complicated grooming requirements, it may extend the wait time for others. We aim to maintain a smooth workflow, but sometimes, the needs of one furry friend can affect the schedule for those waiting.

We truly appreciate your patience during the grooming process. While we’ll notify you via text when your pup is COMPLETED, we ask for your understanding, as we are unable to provide real-time updates throughout the day. During their time with us, your beloved pets are treated with the utmost care, enjoying a warm bed, fresh water, and potty breaks as needed. Although we typically estimate a 2-3 hour timeframe for a standard small groom, please remember this is just an estimate and may vary based on the factors mentioned.

Your patience and support mean the world to us as we work hard to provide the best for your furry family members! Thank you for trusting us with their care! 💙🐶

Good morning!

We just wanted to jump on here and let everyone know that we will be out and about in the Sunshine Coast tomorrow the 29th of April!

We will be walking along the water in various different areas from Coolum to Noosa. If you see us, feel free to stop us for a chat and ask us any questions! Keep an eye out for our black uniforms

Sunshine Coast Pet Grooming Salon Policies and procedure’s ;

Any reference to “we” , “our” or “us” in these Policies and Procedures refer to Sunshine Coast Pet Grooming Salon.

MATTING - Our matting fee is from $10 and can reach the maximum of $50 depending on the severity of the coats condition. In some cases we might be able to de-matt your dog by brushing it out but we cannot guarantee this for every case of matted coats. Please understand that in certain cases we do de-matt your dog by brushing it, it is a painful process for your dog and could cause them to be difficult and delay the grooming process significantly. In extreme cases of matting any cuts, lesions, rashes, minor nicks, hot spots, sores and skin issues etc. that arise after the removal of matting are not our responsibility and any vet bills that occur after will NOT be paid for by us but will be at the owners expense.

ANIMAL SAFETY - We encourage an open salon policy to allow pets to socialise, stretch and play. We ask owners to please notify the salon team if they would like their pet isolated from other animals in the salon. At the discretion of the salon, pets may be crated, tethered or separated for the protection of themselves and other animals within the salon. Pets that display aggression towards other dogs will be separated and muzzles used if deemed necessary. Owners may be asked to collect their pet if they present a danger to team members, other animals or themselves.

LATE FEE - An additional fee will be charged in the late collection of your pet. Please aim to pick up your dog within the hour of the salon contacting you, you will be charged $20 after the first hour and $30 every additional hour after that and will be charged per dog unless you notify the salon of your estimated time of arrival. We charge this as we still need to provide a safe space, fresh water and cleaning of toileting that may occur for all of our customers. In order to avoid this fee please make sure your details are up to date within our system and make sure you are receiving our messages either through email or phone, if you don’t receive either form of contact from us we have all rights to ask for proof of such but please bring this to our attention and will update your contact info on the spot.

NO SHOWS AND CANCELLATIONS - We have a one chance policy, if you do not attend your booking with no communication we will consider it as a “NO SHOW” and cancel your booking 15 minutes after your appointment time. After the first no show you will be asked to prepay all of your future appointments with us. We have all right’s to refuse you and your pet if you do not agree with our one chance policy. We have put this policy in place as the increasing number of no shows have started to take its toll on us as a business. If you are running late please ensure you communicate this with our salon otherwise you will be considered as a “NO SHOW” and your appointment will be cancelled. If you wish to cancel your appointment with us please let us know within the 24 hour time frame prior to your appointment time. In extreme cases with multiple cancellations under that time frame unless it’s an emergency you may be turned away and or asked to prepay every future appointment with us.

AGGRESSION POLICY - If you are aware that your pet is aggressive towards staff when being groomed, you MUST warn staff on arrival. We accept aggressive dogs and will not turn your dog away, however, we need to be aware of its behaviour so we can put appropriate measures in place to ensure our own safety. If our groomers require your pet to be sedated, we will refer you to a vet clinic and your pet MUST be sedated for their next appointment with us. We stress the importance of warning us as dog bites can result in your groomer being out of work for an extended period of time. We give every dog a chance, however, we have all right to send your dog home if it is too dangerous to be groomed.

PUPPIES - All puppies MUST be up to date on all vaccinations at least two weeks prior to entering our salon. You must show proof of vaccination upon arrival. We have all right to turn you away if no proof is provided. Puppies that have never been professionally groomed before at OUR salon will not get a full groom upon its first appointment. All puppies will receive a “tidy up” groom for their initial appointment with us. A tidy up groom helps to desensitise them and train them for their future full grooms. Depending on your puppies behaviour please be aware that it may take more than one “tidy up” groom before your puppy can move forward to a “full groom” appointment. We also will not agree to do a full groom on a puppy less than 8 months old as it may shock the puppies coat.

HEALTH AND WELL-BEING - The grooming process can be a stressful experience for some pets. To help ensure the health and well-being of your pup and to make sure the process is as stress free as possible, the owner and or authorised person/s must inform the salon of the following; if your pet has any pre-existing medical conditions, heart conditions, illness or injury, if the pet is or has recovered from a recent surgery, if your pet is under any form of sedation. The service may be refused or ceased at any time if the service is deemed a risk to the pet or other pet’s health. Any injury to all pre-existing dew claws, warts, hot spots, rashes, open wounds, lumps and bumps that aren’t brought to the groomers attention upon the arrival of EVERY appointment will not be our responsibility and we will not be liable for any vet expense that may arise after the appointment.

EMERGENCY - In the event of any emergency we will contact you but in your absence, you authorise Sunshine Coast Pet Grooming Salon to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorise them to treat the pet as necessary at the YOUR expense, unless the emergency was caused by Sunshine Coast Pet Grooming Salon team member.

DURATION - Upon the arrival of your appointment the groomers will discuss the length of each service but with this being said we cannot guarantee any time frames as the environment we work in is very unpredictable. We are a very busy Salon with a small amount of staff and do not have time to courtesy call every customer, so please have patience with our staff as some days may take longer than others. If you come to the salon before you have been contacted and your dog sees you this could result in a longer wait time as we then will have to put your dog back on the floor until he/she calms down from excitement. It becomes very dangerous to continue to groom when your dog is very excited to see you so if they don’t calm down within a certain amount of time then we may cease the groom and charge the FULL service amount.

PAYMENT - Payment is to be made at the time of the completed service. We accept Mastercard, visa, credit cards and cash. We do not accept any form of online payments or over the phone payments. Failure to pay in store may result in authorities being called as we do not tolerate any forms of stealing.

FLEAS - If you are aware that your pet has fleas, please inform the staff at Sunshine Coast Pet Grooming Salon prior to arriving for your appointment. If your pet has fleas there will be an extra charge added to your service fee regardless of you being aware of the fleas or not, this covers the cost of our flea treatment shampoo and the extermination of any remaining fleas left throughout the salon.

We are happy to announce that we are offering a cat grooming day this Thursday! Pictured below are the cat services we offer. We have been getting an influx of calls regarding cat grooming so we have decided to dedicate one full day to cats!

A cat lion clip includes shaving the body, a little bit of the legs but leaving the head, tail and feet cuffs. This is perfect for those extra wooly cats who struggle with maintaining their own coat.

Our deshed / tidy package includes a full brush out to remove unwanted undercoat hair that sheds in your home, paw pad shave, feet tidy and nail clipping.
