Join Dr Chloë Kempe (BVSc, Dip.CBST), Nathan Arneaud (NDTF) and Jess Sandstrom (KPA-CTP, Dip.CBST, LLA, SOADT, Aggression Master Course) for a free community workshop on Cooperative Care.

This workshop will provide valuable insights into canine behavior, handling techniques and ways to reduce stress during grooming or vet visits. Guardians will gain practical knowledge that they can apply when interacting with their dog on a daily basis to improve their general confidence when being handled for husbandry procedures.

Attending the workshop will also allow clients to better communicate their preferences and concerns with their groomer and vet. They can learn about the importance of open communication and collaboration in ensuring not only their pet’s comfort and well-being during grooming or medical appointments but also their Vet or Groomers safety & well-being.

To all Kindy clients that have their dogs with us today: we are experiencing quite bad weather and the BOM radar is showing the weather is likely to continue or possibly get worse. As some of you know our street can flood sometimes which can make it difficult to collect your dog(s). To air on the side of caution please consider collecting your pups as soon as possible. Merry Christmas 🎄 to all our amazing kindy parents and their fur kids that come in to the centre for us to care for each day. We love them all like they are our own 💕they make us giggle with their funny antics, smile when we see how much they look for their friends, make us sad when they are not well but mostly, they continue to amaze us with their tolerance to one another…dogs are simply the best! 🥰🥰

At Canine Kindergarten, we take our education very seriously and try to set a high standard in a very unregulated industry.
When looking for a daycare centre, asking questions about what qualifications the staff hold should be a priority. What training methods are used should be the next priority.
Running a well set up daycare requires qualified staff, positive reinforcement techniques to train the dogs to set them up for success and build positive relationships within the daycare setting.
Our priority at Canine Kindergarten is to implement all of the above.
Currently our wonderful staff are studying (and many have multiple qualifications) the following:

Maxine Fernandez-Certificate in Canine Nutrition-through CASI-Companion Animal
Sciences Institute

Kayla Beetson- Cert III in animal
Care (pet grooming) through the Heiniger Acadamy

Rachel Coleman- Cert IV in animal behaviour and training- Delta Institute

Erika Wills-Cert IV in animal behaviour and training- Delta Institute

Paige Hill- Cert III in animal
Care (pet grooming) through the Heiniger Acadamy

Demi Ward- just completed pro dog trainer and first aid certificate-absolute dogs

Our staff all take their training, learning and qualifications very seriously so our dog companions are well cared for and treated with kindness and compassion. This make for well adjusted companions:)

Kindy staff member Rachel is looking for dog owners who have puppies that will be between the age of 13-24 weeks for a senior puppy class she will be running as part of her dog training course in mid May.

Rachel will be running a small class of 5 with 1 owner per dog.

If you know of anyone who might be interested in learning some new behaviours please let us know.
