They enjoy all aspects of our farm and family environment and are exposed to this from their first days. By the time our puppies are ready to go to their new homes, they are used to being handled and cared for by children (under supervision of course), being around sheep, chooks, ducks, horses, motor bikes and vehicles. They are taken for walks around the farm and are taught to return to us when c
alled, as well as other basic obedience. We pride ourselves on being able to provide quality, loving dogs with great temperaments as pets as well as working dogs. Our black and white girl "Lil" has been with us since she was a pup and although she is a valued member of the family, she loves nothing better than to get out there and do some sheep work - She is very handy in both the paddock and sheepyards. She has a long haired coat although it is not thick and does not tend to attract grass seeds. When bred with a short haired dog, she has produced both long haired and short haired pups, which also do not tend to attract seeds. Some of her pups have gone to family homes in Wagga Wagga, Cootamundra, Canberra, Sydney and as far as Western Australia and we have had lots of positive feedback from these families. She has also had pups go on to become working dogs on local properties and saleyards. Ginge has also been with us since she was a pup. She has a calm, gentle nature and does not like to make a fuss. She has a beautiful, thick long haired coat which can attract grass seeds but with minimal maintenance, this has not been a problem for us. Ginge has such a gentle nature that she had a bit of a fright in the sheep yards as a young dog and although she is becoming more interested in sheepwork in the paddocks, she will probably never make a yard dog. Both dogs are great around our children and can be trusted completely (although we still keep an eye on them as any responsible pet owner should around young children) Our youngest daughter loves nothing better than having a cuddle with one of the dogs - usually ending uo in them laying down and her lying on top of them! We have had lots of positive feedback from families that have on eof our dogs in thier lives and we have a small waiting list for puppies, although we never know what colours we are going to get until they are born! Please do not hesitate to contact us to chat about the dogs, future litters or to enquire if we have some pups coming up. Regards,
The Gould family
