Don’t get complacent people grass seeds are still an issue ears, toes, privates, eyes, nostrils 🤦🏼‍♀️ they are tricky little buggers, these had been taking up residence in the poor Little tike behinds ear.

Signs your pet could have a seed….
Head shaking, ear scratching, sneezing, lumps, licking and chewing and limping all any or none of the above check problem areas daily it only takes a few seconds 👍

Took an hr tonight to unblock and flush this big guys blocked bladder, cats can be prone to crystals building up and forming stones blocking urinary tracts particularly the boys with their narrow urethral passage.

Some signs your cat could be facing a growing crisis

Bloody urine

Urgency to urinate (more frequent trips to the litter box)

Urinating smaller amounts more often

Straining to urinate (which can sometimes be confused with straining to defecate)

Urinating outside the litter box (often in strange places such as a bathtub, sink, or tile floor,on the bed)

Licking the ge***al area

Vocalization (meowing loudly and often) as if in pain or distress

Lethargy/increased hiding

Decreased appetite

Vomiting/diarrhea

This guy appeared fine to his owners yesterday but today 🫣.

A quality diet, access to fresh clean water ( additives can encourage water consumption ) keeping weight down avoiding obesity. All help reduce the risks.

Treatment is likely medication to fight infections ,reduce inflammation and adjust acid levels in the urine. Surgical catheterisation to continue to flush regularly until crystals are cleared and the buggy pain relief. Its a big process for our little pets, and a scientifically developed diet to further reduce likelihood of redeveloping this issue.

For those of you walking at night with your dogs 😉

Have groomed a number of dogs lately with grass seeds between their toes. This clip shows how the movement of the dogs skin help the seeds to firstly penetrate and then travel allllllll over the body. A little exaggerated but this takes seconds imagine if they are left for days 😢 regular feet checks between toes under paw pads even stuck in the nail bed ears eyes armpits or nose anywhere it might get purchase or contact with the ground level grass. GRASS SEEDS SUCK !

Our little boarder discovered a drip of water that made its way through the roof after the storms recently. I love the innocent joy our dogs bring to life 😉

Best mid morning entertainment

Some dogs are so resilient, signs of pain can often be over looked. From chewing, licking, drooling, panting, facial and movement stiffening or twitching and also altered stomach breathing observation is a huge part of animal treatment this guys dad just knew he wasn’t quite right you will see his breathing in the following video this was day three day one he was so much worse!
