It is with heavy and completely broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved boy, Tink.

For over 13 years, Tink was more than just a clinic cat, he was family. A constant presence, a source of quiet strength and a soft paw in tough moments, Tink brought comfort to all who had the honour of meeting him.

Whether perched on the front desk, sun baking in the windows, curled up on laps during lunch breaks, or wreaking havoc somewhere, Tink made every corner of the clinic a little brighter, a little warmer. He brought calm to chaos and sometimes, in true Tink fashion, chaos to calm.

Tink was always there when needed most, offering silent companionship during hard days. His calming spirit soothed anxious pets, tired staff, and worried owners alike.

Tink will be deeply missed by all of us here at Numurkah Vet Clinic, our clients and the many animals who felt his gentle presence.

Though his paws no longer pad across our floors, he will always be a part of this place he called home.

Thank you, Tink, for the unconditional love, the laughs, the cuddles, the comfort and the irreplaceable friendship.

You were, and will remain, the heart of NVC.

If you’ve noticed the absence of our CEO recently, it’s because he unfortunately had to undergo surgery to have his right eye removed. Tink has been very brave over the last few weeks and we are so proud of him. He’ll be back to making mischief in no time, until then please keep him in your thoughts 🤍🐾

We might have to start calling him Wink from now on 🤔

This week on Tinks Tips he shares his personal experience of vaccination, as our lovely veterinarian Dr. Georgia gets Mr.Tink up to date with his yearly vaccine.

Mr. Tink bravely strutted into the exam room all by himself (okay, he was gently guided, but still). He sat still. He didn’t hiss. He didn’t hide. The shot came and went in a blink.

And afterward? He strutted back to the front desk like a little lion 🦁

Since then, Mr. Tink has taken on a new role: Clinic Ambassador of Bravery and Health. He now shares important messages with pets and their humans:

* “Vaccines keep us safe, even if we hate needles.”
* “Ask questions — your vet is here to help, not to trick you with treats.”
* “It’s okay to be scared, but it’s even better to be protected.”
