🌡️EXTREME HOT WEATHER🌡️

We are expecting a very hot day tomorrow and with the hot weather in general, it is crucial we all do our best to keep our pets safe.
Dogs and cats have less sweat glands than us and may find it more difficult to keep cool, especially in extreme heat. Some animals are more at risk of suffering heat stroke, including very young, very old, brachycephalic breeds (shortened muzzle e.g Pug, Bulldog, Persian cats, etc), overweight animals, pets with thick coats, pets with pre-existing conditions, especially cardiovascular or respiratory diseases.
Below are some tips to help prevent heat stroke and what to do if it occurs

Attention Cattle Clients,
There is currently a shortage of Rotavec Corona vaccines (for calf scours), however we are able to order Scourshield, an equivalent product that can be used interchangeably with Rotavec. Scourshield is a vet only product. We will have a limited supply available so please call ahead on 5862 1655 to order 🐮

A big Happy Birthday to the big boss of Numurkah Vet Clinic who turns 12 today! 🥳

Tink, Mr.Tinks, Squinkle, Trinkle, the nicknames are endless and so are the love and cuddles that this man is always willing to share with any who cross his path ❤️

He has many skills; he's an excellent listener, expert roast chicken quality control tester, cage stealer, lap warmer, keyboard trampler, bin rustler, paper weight, model, massage therapist, shoelace inspector, cardboard box assessor, foster kitten mentor, plate cleaner and chief morale officer.

He is many things, but most of all he is our boy Tink and we love him dearly 🥹❤️🐾

Toxicities are unfortunately all too common around holiday periods. Easter treats such as chocolate and hot cross buns are not safe to share with your pet, but if you do have any "snaccidents" it is best to call our after hours service immediately on 5862 1655 🍫🍇
