Earlier in the year Sophie travelled with her father to various Reined Cowhorse Events to compete in the Junior Youth Cowhorse aboard the ever loved Dual Reysponse aka ‘Buster’. 🐴

Because it was more then just the 1st GR run…. This is the ARBC Australian Greatest Horseman Finals run which brought us home the AGH Reserve Championship title…. It was a run to remember and a moment in time!! We are so proud of our beautiful gelding “Tango” he’s really stepped up to the plate as a bridle horse. Super excited to get him back into work this spring after a well earned 6 months spell in his paddock. #coprice
We were so proud with how ‘Chisel’ worked through the sale ring at the Nutrien Masters yesterday, we aren’t that disappointed to be hauling him home… with 6 years training and show experience under his belt, we know his true value! We are sooo proud of Sweetolena Bay who tried her heart out and stepped up every time we asked. Although we don’t start horses for the public anymore, (unless they’re in our program long term) I still love seeing the massive changes in these horses in a short period of time. This wild haired fella is our gelding “chip” sired by our stud “Spoonfulla Freckles “ out of our CD/ Wagon Cook mare. This is his 4th ride. I’ve always felt much more comfortable early on, riding outside. I’m not a fan of the arena at all in the beginning. “Chip” had 2 rides in the round pen and outside we went. I love challenging these little fellas to become free moving and brave ASAP, his first creek crossing was a bit of fun😂!! I’ll share one of my favourite quotes with you about colt starting from Nick Dowers, “Day one, you’re loosing money, Day two you’re breaking even, Day three they’re on the payroll” have a great week☀️cheers Q
Super excited to be back and apart of this great sale. NUTRIEN SALE LOT- 238.“HEATWAVES GOLD RUSH” we are presenting this beautiful 2yo Buckskin Gelding owned by “Mares Forrest performance horses”. We would absolutely love to have this gelding back in our training program, he would be very competitive in next year’s “prydes easifeed challenge” or the 2022 cowhorse futurity. He has had approximately 90 days riding, 60 days on a cow. Plenty of slow outside riding through the bush, he has a good foundation for performance manoeuvres. very soft in a snaffle, cowy and wants to stop. Easy to catch and shoe.
