We are a family owned and run Wholesale business who manufacturer breeding logs for L-number Catfish, Rocks for Cichlids/fish and Reptiles.

All our caves are Australian Handmade in Terracotta Clay. We also stock other Aquarium items. Welcome to ZigZag Fish,
Lionel developed ZigZag Fish in 2009, with the help and support of his family. He started making his own breeding Caves and Logs for his own use as he couldn’t find any on the market at the time that suited his needs in regards to the correct size and length. Shane has been breedi

ng a variety of fish since the age of 9 years old and we have been using ZigZag Fish Caves and Logs since they were first available so we knew that it is a durable product. When the opportunity came to continue on the ZigZag Fish business, we couldn’t turn it down. We purchased ZigZag Fish in June 2018 with the goal of keeping the products to the same great stranded. All our Caves and Logs are unique as we do not use moulds, they are hand made from Terracotta Clay and fired at 1100 degrees. By firing our products at this temperature, it means they are just like natural rocks and wont brake down in water. The dye that are used are oxides dyes, they have no lead or other heavy chemicals that can bleach into the water. Just as Lionel had done, we are continuing to make our breeding logs more suited to the fish (not just small, medium and large in size). As most breeders of L-Numbers (Loricarrid Catfish) would know, the male likes a tight fit in order to successfully trap the female in the cave. As for the Cichlids, a lot of them like to use hollow rocks for breeding in. We make our products look as real as possible so they can fit in seamlessly with any aquarium set up.
