If youโre a passionate horse owner who thrives on the excitement of preparing for competitions, youโre no stranger to the hurdles along the way. Keeping your horse happy and healthy, is only half the battle. However, one common companion on this competition journey is osteoarthritis (OA).
Here are some fast facts about equine OA:
๐ด Osteoarthritis is the most common cause of lameness in horses, responsible for approximately 60% of lameness cases.
๐ด Equine osteoarthritis contributes to massive economic losses as well as horse attrition.
๐ด This is not an old horse diseaseโit commonly occurs in young, active performance horses.
If youโre hoping for a superstar performer, itโs essential that you take steps to prevent joint trauma and inflammation or, if OA is already present, treat it early to maintain your horseโs comfort and slow the progression of the disease.
๐Hereโs the good news โ 4CYTEโข Epiitalisยฎ Forte is scientifically proven to protect, maintain and promote healthy joints at all life stages, because all stages count! Your horse deserves top-notch joint care with 4CYTEโข Epiitalisยฎ Forte.

Orange Veterinary Hospital is becoming a bit of a โunicornโ clinic of sorts; in that we are one of few family & community focused, independent locally owned mixed practices. We continue to offer such a wide variety of services and treat all species of animals, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
Our vets also travel to our lovely branch clinic at Molong to provide our services to our clients in that region.
How incredible are our veterinarians to be able to care for all of these animals!!
All in one day, our vets can go from vaccinating a sweet little puppy ๐ถ; to surgically removing a yarn of wool ๐งถ from a โnot so playfulโ kittens intestine, to neutering a ferret, providing first aid to injured wildlife, to assisting a heifer have her calf safely, to rushing to a horse ๐ with colic, then returning to the clinic to be there to help a patient pass over the rainbow ๐ ๐ขbridge peacefully.
In addition to this, we offer an after-hours emergency service. This means that most of our vets are apart of an on call rotation as well as their usual daytime hours.
So after a big day at work, they then are often on call triaging emergencies calls and treating animals through out the night whilst the rest of the team rests up for their turn in the rotation.
Learning does not stop when our Veterinarians get their degree!๐จโ๐ ๐งโ๐ ๐
They are learning everyday through new cases, continued education, webinars, reading books, specialist referral process and discussing cases with other professionals in the industry.
