Our first ever Sport Horse Camp was an absolute hit! Five action-packed days saw eight riders start off setting their own personal goals for the week and then working with passion, effort and determination to achieve them.

With three structured training sessions a day, each one building on the last, the riders enjoyed full immersion into the amazing world of horse training, equine care and riding the Olympic disciplines. Intense lessons were also mixed with fun-fillled confidence building activities like horseback archery, barrel racing, adventure trail riding and horse show preparation. The whole week finally culminated in a highly anticipated Show Case Day, where riders dressed in their best and put together everything they had learnt throughout the week.

Riders got to stay in our recently converted stables, a super fun horse-style bunkroom set up, and ate the most delicious home cooked meals for brekkie, lunch, dinner and dessert!

Every single person finished the week on a high, having leveled up in their riding and horsemanship; made awesome new friends; and created memories to last a lifetime.

The next camp is set for the upcoming Christmas school holidays, final dates tbc, but if you're interested send me a message to put your name on our list, our next Sport Horse Camp will be epic!

Part lease options available at Otford Valley Equestrian:

1. Black Percheron X Friesian mare, 17hh approx, suitable dressage, working equitation & possible trail riding.

2. Bay Australian Riding Pony gelding, 13hh approx, suitable show jumping, dressage & pony club for the right person.

3. Palomino Stock Horse gelding, 15hh approx, suitable dressage, trail riding, possibly some jumping.

Lease details: three days per week, days to be discussed; fee includes all agistment, care, hard feed, hay. Farrier costs to be shared.

"Misty" - available for lease. Lovely type, suit dressage and trail riding.
Bay, Thoroughbred mare, sweet nature and would make a nice ride for someone looking at getting a horse of their own.

Leasee responsible for all agistment, feeding and care costs, horse to be kept at Otford Valley Equestrian, possible option to buy for the right person at the end of the lease.

A phenomenal result in the combined training for Maisie and Buddy at interschools last week. They came 10th out of a huge class of 75 kids, the biggest class of the day!! With a dressage score of 64.69 and 2nd fastest clear round in the SJ, well done you little legends 👏

Congratulations to Antonia Bearda and Charlie on a great result at SIEC in the Sydney Autumn Classic Eventing on the weekend. The pair placed 3rd🥉in their EvA80 class, plus they also came 1st🥇for the Thoroughbred performance award! Well done!! 👏 🎉

The Otford Valley Equestrian 🎃 👻 Halloween Party 👻🎃 was epic! Everyone got dressed up, horse and human alike, and the costumes were amazing; convicts & sherrifs; bananas in pajamas; fairies & unicorns; Barbies & Kens; ghosts & reapers; and skeletons, dragons and more.

We got the party started with some hotly contested barrel racing, fuelled by the egging-on and cheering of all our eager spectators and supporters. The difference between first and second place was less than one second!! Everyone is already itching to have another go. 🏇 & Melman made for some great unexpected entertainment 🤠 (spot the giant horse on two feet!) and tiny Jewel made such a great ghost 👻 even many of the big horses were scared 😆

Then the horses went back in for their dinner and we cracked on with eating and drinking the night away. The food everyone brought along was delicious, so much variety - shoutouts to Marcelle for the outstanding homemade Halloween cake.

Massive thank you to everyone who came along and got involved, with dressing up, bringing food, setting up, helping to tidy afterwards etc. More than anything, to have you all along to share the occasion made it what it was. The bunch of people we have here is awesome, you are all part of the best group we could hope to be surrounded by and we love you all!

Thanks so much to for the stunning pics of the day, these memories will stick with us all for years to come, it was that kind of a party.

There are already murmurs of the next party, and Christmas is just around the corner...
