Warning: although we recommend tick prevention all year round this warmer weather means ticks are out and about in abundance. 1 bite from a paralysis tick can cause paralysis, which can be deadly. The best way to protect your pet is to use an effective tick prevention. We have a new injection for ticks and fleas that lasts for 12 months. We also have monthly, quarterly and 6 monthly options available! Call us for advice on which product would suit your needs or to book for the new yearly injection.

UPDATE: emergency personnel have checked the premises we have the all clear to go back in. We will be open tomorrow from 830am.

We currently have an emergency situation, don't worry all staff and clients have been evacuated and no animals are inside. Fire fighters are currently checking the building but this does mean we cannot see anyone this evening sorry for any inconvenience.

We have some exciting news! Ourimbah Veterinary Hospital will have a professional dog groomer start on the 1st of August 2024. Kathryn has over 15 years experience and is very passionate about making our clients fur babies happy, comfortable and smelling fresh. These 2 young female cats are looking for their forever homes!!
They are fully vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, litter trained and up to date with flea, tick and worming.
They are sisters and have grown up together so we would love for them to go together but it is not necessary if the right home comes along.

Dr Josie and 'Five' demonstrate tooth brushing. Five earns a gold ⭐ for having his teeth brushed every night before bed!

Cuteness overload. This adorable trio visited this week for their annual health check and vaccination against rabbit calicivirus.

Look at this little trooper, recovering after a tangle with a paralysis tick. 2 days ago this little princess could not stand up, today she is standing and enjoying a feed thanks to a visit from one of our vets and some nursing care. See comments for further pictures!

August is Dental month! To celebrate 'Five' has made a video of him learning to brush his teeth. He is working towards learning to clean his front teeth but as you can see tooth brushing can be an enjoyable experience for our pets.
