Emma riding Red Gift placed 3rd in both of their tests coming third overall ❤️😍
Kyla And Akecheta came 6th in their first tests and smashed a massive group of riders to take home a 1st place!!! Getting her 3rd overall!! 🤩🥇🏆😍
Tegan and Laundy connected, communicated and came together as a team to show off all their hard work with a new PB ❤️🐴
Thank you for having us Mentone!

Dj’s owner had requested we teach him how to “pony”. For those that are unfamiliar with this term, “ponying” is when you lead a horse off of another horse. Usually this is quite a simple thing to train but on this occasion we did have a couple of things to work through.
1. We don’t currently have an experienced pony horse at the property with us.
2. DJ is a yearling colt who is just starting to work out what all of his “bits” are for! 😬
3. The most suitable horse we had to pony from was Oak a beautifully kind but 17.1hh giant!
After the initial excitement of meeting a new friend and trying to “assert himself” DJ schooled extremely well and really started to understand what he needed to do.
Oak was an absolute superstar that very quickly stepped into his role as a “leader”. A good pony horse must be rock solid, steady and keep a level head even when things get a bit messy or uncomfortable. They must also be willing to push up into another horse and assist their rider with very little questions.
Both boys worked out the activity very quickly and within 10 min we were moving around the round yard quite smoothly. An absolute testament to both boys and their exceptional work ethic!
