Was your dog adopted from RSPCA, did you get a free microchip or did you buy your dog from Down South? This might be important for you! HOME SAFE ID Microchip registration data base is now closed.
If your pets microchip is registered with the company Home Safe ID you will need to re-register with a different microchipping registry.

🐶Go to petaddress.com.au and type in your dog’s microchip number. This will identify which company the microchip is registered to.
🐶 If you don't know your microchip number, please bring your dog in and we will scan it for free and walk you through the process .

To register your dog’s microchip with another Australian microchip registry, contact one of the webpages below, where you can register for an account. (A small fee may be charged). Our clinic is using Central Animal Records but you have other options too:

A day in the life at The Ark Animal Hospital 🔍🐾 Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at The Ark Animal Hospital? 🐶🐱

📸 Morning rounds: Our dedicated team starts the day with rounds, checking in on our furry and exotic patients and giving them the love and care they need. 💉 Treatment time: From routine check-ups, desexings to emergency surgeries, our skilled vets and nurses are always ready to step in and provide top-notch care.
Consults from 9am to 6pm: While we have 1-2 vets and 4 nurses working behind the scenes in hospital, wildlife room, xray or surgery, at least one vet and one nurse is dedicated to consults, while our reception and admin team will help you with all your questions and needs.
Evening rounds: We finish the day with rounds, cleaning, patients checks, contacting owners and setting everyone up for the night before we turn on our afterhours service phone.

And yes, in-between we will make time to treat our unique wildlife and will volunteer a lot of our spare time to provide free veterinary treatment for all native species.

Steve the Cavoodle was in clinic today for his second puppy vaccination. He was very brave, even for the Tetanus vaccine which can sting a bit! We look forward to seeing this cute boy again in 4 weeks time for his last vaccination. ,
