This shining star may be small but she has a big personality. Comet is just over 3 months old and looking for a forever home. She has been known to be quite sassy; using her voice to let you know she’s hungry or bored!

She’s proven she’s a hunter not a gatherer when it comes to playing with her toys! She loves to play with anything that jingles and her favorite toys are the ones on strings so you can play too 💜

She’s good around other cats, and is currently learning to be around kids 🥰

Whilst she is a bit shy at first, she’s proven she’s not a hisser or a biter and wants to be someone’s companion 💜

About Us...

Hello!

Allow us to introduce ourselves; we are A Safe Place For Meow. We are a local organization aimed at saving the lives of cats and kittens in the Northern Territory. Our goal is to provide a safe home environment and medical care for stray cats. We are a small group created by veterinary staff with the objective preventing the euthanasia of healthy, loving animals when the major groups are full.

Major rescue groups are inundated with a constant flow of animals including strays, surrenders and pound rescue. We hope to lighten the load for these major rescue groups by providing interim foster care and desexing of animals, allowing other groups to focus on other areas of rescue.

To achieve this we offer adoptions directly through the group whilst waiting for potential space in the major groups. Adoption directly through the group allow space at the local shelters for other animals.
