This season we have rescued/captured & relocated 525 reptiles.

As we head into winter our call-out volume will decrease significantly, but it won't stop completely. This time of the year is known as the "snake catchers holiday" period where we will start to wind down and be able to catch up with friends and family after being on call 24/7 for 9 months straight. You will still see the odd catch from us here and there but we will be posting a bit more of the behind the scenes content.

The home owners got a bit of a fright after moving a mat at the back door only to find the little guy sleeping under it

Meet Egg Master 🐍🥚
On the 7th of March, we were called to a property in Kin Kin for a carpet python in a chicken coop that was suspected of having eaten fake chicken eggs. He was rushed down to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital for treatment. The hospital gave him an X-ray and found that he hadn't eaten one, not two, but seven fake eggs. After being suitably named Egg Master by the staff, he went into surgery to have the eggs removed. After a six-week stay at the hospital, he is now fit for release.

A snake in the toilet 🚽🐍

The poor home owner in Bli Bli was alarted to his new little friend after he herd something screaming in the toilet. It turns out that this Common Tree Snake had come up though the toilet and into the lip of the seat to hunt a tree frog (that who was screaming). Luckily for us he tail was still hanging out enough for us to grab it and with a few flushes of the toilet he come right out.

2 snakes in 1 car Quick backstory: The driving instructor and his student had pulled into a park for a break and so the instructor could go to the toilet. Five minutes after coming back from the toilet, the instructor saw the first snake slithering up into the wheel of the car. Not sure what to do, he tried honking his horn to see if it would scare it out. Not long after that, he spotted another snake crossing the road. Last night we were called out to a python that had made its home inside this elephant statue and absolutely refused to come out. Everytime we tried to get her out she would puff her body up like a fist in a cookie jar making it impossible for her to be removed.
