Mr handsome just doing his thing🦄
Dennis and I had a great start to the season at Vale View High Profile a few weeks ago in the Grand Prix and U25 Grand Prix. We took our end of year training into our tests and came out with some huge improvements. I really couldn’t ask for anything more from Dennis at this stage in his training. He does his absolute best for me🥰
After a fantastic first show of the season we are really looking forward to the year ahead!

Yesterday was a very sad day as Jake made his way back to Perth. Thank you for being on this adventure with us for the past 2 years! Dennis and I are going to miss our cowboy and our best friend. We appreciate everything you do for us. We couldn’t have done any of this without you. Come back soon!❤️ Jake Wood

✨Wellington CDI✨
An extremely overdue post, but we had a great time at Wellington at the beginning of last month. Having another crack in the Under 25s. Super happy with our improvements at this show. Although our scores didn’t quite represent the differences I felt, I couldn’t be happier with Dennis’s performances!
We are still learning together and improving bit by bit. Dennis’s confidence in the work is growing which I love, now to keep working on the quality and the finer details!
Just love being on this journey with this special horse. A huge thank you to Lewis Carrier Dressage for all of the training at home and for supporting us at the show. Your help and kind words are greatly appreciated!🙏
Thank you to the rest of my team for everything you do❤️🦄

✨Hickstead CDI✨
Finally made it to spring, having glorious weather for the weekend at Hickstead. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite our weekend with not the best lead up to the show. Me being sick for the week prior with a virus meant we went a little underprepared. I was just glad to be able to ride my tests as I was struggling to do my training times the 2 days prior.
Although not the scores or work that we would have liked, Dennis did feel great in our warm ups and pre training. Just a few too many silly mistakes creeping in which really affected our marks. On a positive note we had some big improvements in other areas that we have struggled and had some good marks for certain things.
It was a shame to not put forward our best performances, but I am super happy with how Dennis is feeling and improving in his training each week. Loving our journey of working towards the GP goal!
As always onto more training ready for the next one!
The biggest thank you to my special partner Jake Wood who helped me so much when I wasn’t feeling up for it. He definitely took on the role of head groom!
Thank you to my sponsors for the continued support, even when things don’t go quite to plan💗

✨Addington CDI✨
First show of the year done and dusted! Couldn’t be happier with our efforts in the CDI Under 25 class. It was a huge week for us with trot up and 3 days of competition but as always Dennis took it like a pro. Overall we had huge improvements from our last international. To come away with improved scores in the Inter 2 and U25 GP and a 3rd place in the freestyle is all I could have asked for at this stage in our training.
It has been a tough move over to the UK. Although Dennis traveled perfectly, it took a very long time to get him back up to fitness and strength. Having many setbacks since arriving has made it hard but we are getting there. At the end of last year Dennis was diagnosed with a muscle disease. Unfortunately this being quite a long process to diagnose. It’s great to have that confirmation and some explanations for a few things like his struggles coming back into work. But it’s not going to hold us back, it just means I have to be very meticulous about Dennis’s feeding and exercise regimes. For him it means that performing the Grand Prix work is a lot harder for him than a horse with normal muscle function. But Dennis being Dennis he always gives it a try and does the best he can!
So with that I’m so proud of the improvements we have made in a short time and very excited for the year ahead!
At the end of last year we took another big jump, taking a new opportunity to work with Lewis Carrier. A huge thank you to Lewis for getting us back up to GP shape again and for being there every step of the way at the show.
It’s such a team effort to do these things and I’m so grateful for everyone that plays a part in Dennis and I’s journey🥰
