NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Parkes and District Kennel Club will be holding its Annual General Meeting on:

All members are encouraged to attend as we review the past year, elect office bearers, and discuss plans for the upcoming year.

If you have any items for the agenda, please submit them to the Secretary by Monday 21st October.

What an amazing team we have in Parkes.
Before he goes to bed Tucker wants to say a huge thank you to all the people who made this trial such a huge success.
* The fantastic judges who provided us some fun and challenging courses🙏

*The canteen guys who keep us fed and the many volunteers some who work tirelessly all weekend and others that just jump in and fill a gap when we are struggling. We thank you all🙏
Finally to our competitors who travel far and wide to test their skills and hopefully enjoy some of our country hospitality- we hope to see you all again next year.

The Bearded Hound has blown us away with these amazing prizes for our novice dogs. Our judges on Saturday will select a dog from each novice event that is a rising 🌟. They can then take their prize to the stall that the bearded hound will have at the trial on Sunday and fill it with some yummy goodies for the dogs!! Amazing so please support our wonderful small businesses that help support us! Ps there are also great raffle additions as well

Hey Drift - I think I look pretty good in this LickiMat bandana and look at all the great prizes they have given for the winners at our trial on the Weekend.
They have even given a discount code for us poor dogs who can’t compete so Mum can buy me some for 20% less.

Yummo Mum I love the dried sardines from The Bearded Hound but I have run out.
Don’t worry Tucker - Jess and Harley are coming to the Parkes trial on Sunday 7th April and will bring lots more with them.
If you don’t want to miss out you can pre order treats up until 12pm Friday 5th and if you bring along your own container you can get a 10% discount.
So I hope you have saved your pocket money Tucker.

Look what our friends at Bunnings Warehouse gave us for our raffle Mum …….. hang on they forgot to put the treats in the treat box 😭 - well at least I can watch the agility from this great chair in April.

Tucker is jumping for joy! It is only few weeks until our big April trial and we have ZIWI Pets on board sponsoring our opens with their famous Ziwi peak dog food as well as novice encouragement awards and a great raffle prize . Welcome to 2024 - membership to the Parkes & District Kennel Club is now due. If you wish stay on as a member or would like to join, you will need to fill out a membership form and forward it along with the $10 payment.
Forms can be emailed to [email protected] and payment details are on the form. If you prefer to pay in cash bring it along to your first class.

TRAINING 2024 COMMENCING
We are pleased to advise that training for 2024 will be commencing shortly. Details as follows:

TUESDAY NIGHT TRAINING
5.30pm to 7.00pm commencing on Tuesday 6th February
The agility ring will be split into two halves with bunting down the middle. Fiona Watts will be taking an agility training session for those dogs commencing their agility trialing journey whilst Lynn Madden will take an agility training session for the more advanced dogs.

SUNDAY TRAINING - AGILITY FOR FUN
Commencing on Sunday 11th February at 8.30am or 9.00am (dependent on the weather forecast). Belinda Bruce will be running Agility for Fun. Dogs of all levels of agility - beginners through to advanced welcome to attend.

Please note there will not be a 'Do More With Your Dog' Thursday night class this year. Participants who attended these classes previously are welcome to attend on Tuesday nights and work with their dogs in the jumping ring, or alternatively come to Sunday Agility for Fun class.

Membership forms for 2024 will be available on this page shortly. All 2024 memberships must be finalised by the end of February.
