Hello, everyone! We are excited to share the news that we have been chosen as finalists in the Casey Business Awards 2024, in the Community Contribution section!

This recognition is a reflection of our dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of dogs and their human families, and we are grateful for the opportunity to work with Mornington Peninsula Dog Rescue Incorporated and other members of the public who are equally passionate about canine welfare.
We look forward to the award’s ceremony in November; meanwhile, we will continue to provide the highest level of care and support to our clients and their furry friends!

Say hello to the gorgeous Pocket!
She has been coming to see me for awhile now, I learnt about her terrible start to life, which broke my heart, she now has a beautiful loving home with Tracey Scoble and is happier then ever! She really loves Tracey!
I’ve had the opportunity to work with her on her confidence and trust, and we have such a wonderful relationship with trust and love.

Congratulations to this gorgeous couple, Georgia & Hamish, on their recent Wedding Celebrations!!
We had the honour of grooming their darling Furbaby Sadie! Sadie wore a big white bow around her neck, and smaller white bows on her ears; her leash was covered in satin ribbon, so divine..
Sadie is an absolute dream to Groom and we had big smiles on our faces when we saw these beautiful pics!

Sam has just finished raising over $250,000 for the Royal flying doctor service, Dollys dream and farm angels.

🐶🐶Important TUESDAY TIPS🐶🐶

❄ As we can all tell, the colder weather is well and truly on the way!
This often means a lot of clients like to keep their dogs haircut a little bit longer, but this doesn't mean time between grooming sessions should be longer too!!

If you would like to keep a longer haircut for the cooler months, it is even more important to maintain at home and keep regular appointments because the extra hair is more prone to matting and will retain more water, mud and debris.
We will be able to manage the length, but your furbaby will still need paws, hygiene areas clipped and nails done, and the face hair will still all grow..
We want to avoid having to shave everything off as the coat has been left too long and appointments have been pushed back.

A ‘Bath & Tidy’ is still very much needed for your furbabies coat if you are going to grow him long, it means brushing and combing him every day and sending him to the groomer for a Bath/Blow Dry every 4-6 weeks.

Unfortunately, the biggest mistake you can make, is growing it long and letting it all get matted whilst cancelling appointments, as it’s becoming colder.

Dog self generate their own heat, so they will not be cold by having a hair cut, and be aware that if you’re planning to put ‘doggie jumpers’ on them, it can cause more matting and knots as the jumper is rubbing on the coat! 🐶🫶🏻

The Lost Dogs’ Home is calling on everyone who is an animal lover to get behind the 2024 Big Blankie Drive!

The annual call out for blankets to keep our animals warm and snug is now on, and the Home is hoping the community will get behind the appeal and support our animals. Both our North Melbourne and Cranbourne shelters are critically low of blankets with freezing temperatures already gripping the State. Blankets are used for bedding for more than 18,000 animals coming through our doors every year, it is crucial we have enough to go around.

Sadly, this year we have had an enormous increase of animals arriving at our shelters, so the need is even more critical than previous years. Please note that unfortunately we can’t use doonas, pillows or sheets. These items can be very difficult to clean and maintain for re-use.
