As temperatures rise, our pets can be at risk for dehydration, especially during outdoor play and adventures. Here’s what to watch for to keep your furry friend safe and healthy:

💧 Excessive Panting - Dogs pant to cool down, but rapid or heavy panting may indicate overheating.

💧 Dry, Sticky Gums - Check your pet’s gums. If they feel dry instead of slick, they might be dehydrated.

💧 Loss of Skin Elasticity - Gently pinch the skin at the back of their neck. Hydrated skin will bounce back quickly; delayed elasticity is a sign of dehydration.

💧 Sunken Eyes - Dehydration can cause the eyes to appear dull or slightly sunken.

💧 Lethargy - A dehydrated pet may seem overly tired or reluctant to play.
