Here’s Captain Bacchus, the Captain was born a few days after the great Rod Marsh past away, I liked the personality of Rodney and how he played cricket and his influence on younger cricket players. This bloke is built like Rod, nuggety, great sense of humour, all round a real good bloke, rock solid back line with a level of softness about him from his dam BDS q35 Quirky. His build, nature and sense of humour comes from his Dad the pocket rocket ‘talking bull’ Nitro VPS n007 birth weight 33.5kg, 27.3.22. Captain’s first calves due end of March, all 6 ptic 🏆🐮and in with 6 heifers now, another chapter to the chooks at Heckle and Jeckle Speckles 🤠

Couple of days ago the boys come into the yards for annual vaccinations and over the scales and shock, horror and wow, Rufus checked in at an amazing 1120kg ! Not grain fed just regular Pennyfeild rye grass, clover and phalaris, he’s a few days short of 4 years and moves like a cat, just a super sized Tom cat that has the nature of a Labrador. Hi Specklers, I had basically an invitation or should say a chance to have a look at some boys just north of Melbourne town 6 weeks back; wow was my first, second and third thoughts. I would have loaded all 5 boys in the Hino but like chocolate a block of Old Gold now and then is ‘Trumps’. Anyways we knicked 2 boys so meet Tonka, Easy to name him Truck 😉 is he going to add some grunt to Heckle and Jeckle Speckles ? My word he is, super quiet like a Teddy Bear 🧸

Meet “Ten”, he’s an F1 bully boy I kept because of his nature and pocket rocket looks. Always the first up to the gate for a chat, cheeky as, got the stance and looks of his sire Nitro and talks back to you, just ask him! Ten got a jumper this season when one of our prime bulls come up with a crook hip, as the saying goes, good luck comes to those that wait.
