While I’ve been on a break from my business, I’ve really missed the kind of happiness that you can only get from being around animals. So I took myself down to the Animal Welfare League’s Kemps Creek Shelter to bath some dogs.

I met so many beautiful dogs. Some were shy and wanted to tuck under my arm for a cuddle, one went foraging through my backpack and chewed on my bag of bows, I almost walked out with a Dalmatian named Pink and they ALL gave the best kisses ever.

I met the prettiest Bunny I’ve ever seen and I even saw some ducks sunbaking that are looking for a home.

I had so much fun, it was good for my soul and I think I needed it as much as the dogs did. Thank you for having me, AWL. I’ll see you again soon!! 🐾

To all of my lovely clients,

I am so very sorry, but I need to shut down my business until further notice.

For months I have been trying to juggle a fully booked business while caring for my Mother who is in the final stages of terminal illness and I am not doing a good enough job at either of these tasks.

I don’t want to keep disappointing my clients by rescheduling as I’m so booked out that I have nowhere to fit them back in, and in turn not having the capacity to properly care for my Mum.

I have spoken to other local groomers who are aware of the situation and will take on as many of my clients as they can, I will list them below.

My sincere apologies, I hate feeling like I am letting you down and I will miss your dogs so much, but I have burnt myself out trying to do it all.

Little Luna graduated from the small dryer to the high velocity dryer today so ear protection was a must. If the loud noise had scared her, all of our work over the last few months could have gone down the drain.

I’ve been building up Luna’s tolerance to the grooming process by introducing her to things slowly & on small scales so it doesn’t frighten her and hopefully this will mean that she will be so used to all the noises and feels that soon grooming will just be something fun to do.

When choosing a groomer for your puppy, ensure that they have a good routine in place that eases them in to the process, and never be afraid to advocate for your pet. A good groomer will set your pup up for a lifetime of successful grooming.

You might notice a little something extra on my trailer next time I visit your place. I FINALLY found a plumber that could work out the intricacies of my trailer’s plumbing set up and was able to add instant gas hot water! 🔥 This means that even in Penrith’s coldest days and with the biggest, furriest dogs, my water will never run cold.

Big thanks to Brown Bear Plumbing for going above and beyond and getting the impossible done.

I went with a Country Comfort heater after so many other groomers recommended them and it hasn’t missed a beat and I’m really happy with how it’s been working.

Let the long, warm baths roll!

Some people are blessed with a beautiful head of hair - full of volume, thick, needing next to no styling. Rusty and I wouldn’t know about that. We both have that thin, frizzy type of hair that knots easily and only looks good for like one day after a haircut. Good thing we are both extremely good looking.

My beautiful friend Fifi is having some health problems and is being so brave about being poked and prodded by vets and specialists. She has a big appointment this week and needed to look her best (because us girls know how much better it feels to have good hair when we aren’t feeling 100%) so let’s hope it’s a speedy recovery and Fifi is back to her cheeky self ASAP! ❤️

It was my first day back at work today after a few very challenging weeks.

Thank you to everyone who was understanding when I needed to cancel appointments.

The guilt of letting my clients and their pets down weighs on me heavily and I would never do it unless it was absolutely necessary.

I’m doing the best that I can and hoping for sunnier days soon 🙂

Look at my good girl Macca, waiting patiently at the curb until I give her the “let’s go” command before she’ll cross the road with me. I’ve loved watching her grow up and mature, and now I’m starting to count some grey furs on her muzzle. On our way back from the walk she will sit at my trailer and ask to go in so she can get a treat before heading home ❤️

COOKIE GOT A BROTHER!!! Introducing Teddy, an affectionate but nervous little guy who has been keeping Cookie company for a few months now but due to me not being able to take on any new clients I haven’t been able to squeeze him into my roster. I had a little extra time today so Big Ted got the call up and he did very well! I’m looking forward to hopefully getting Teddy on the books soon so I can enjoy more of his weirdo Pug kisses 😘

I am here to help

My goal is to ensure that the pets of Western Sydney are looked after. If someone needs to pick up a few extra shifts at work but that means they won’t have time to walk their dog, I want to help. If someone injures themselves and is unable to clean their cat’s litter tray each day, I want to help. If someone’s bird is sick but their owner does not drive, I want to help. People want to be good, responsible pet owners but sometimes life throws a curve ball and they need a hand. I’d love to be the person that you turn to for help, so let me know what you need.
