Ryze had his first scooter run today, and he blew me away with how well he did!
He ran his little heart out, through rain and huge puddles, he didn't miss a beat. We stopped for a breather around the 2km mark before running for the finish line with all the power he had.
Passing is something new for him, and he did amazing passing dogs and having dogs pass him with minimal interaction.
He has some general fitness and stamina to build before he competes, but we left feeling good about the training and we're excited to try again soon!
Three talented boys had a fantastic Saturday doing three different sports!
๐SOLACE๐
Had his first look at sheep and showed some lovely natural ability! He will be a lovely little worker with some more training
๐งMAC๐ง
Has been working really hard on his hoopers training with Roley Dogs and is having a great time learning with his family.
๐ฎRYZE๐ฎ
Went to his first Rally trial and competed in Novice Rally. He tried his best and came away with a pass and 3rd place.
It's great to see them all having such a great time with their training! ๐
Good work puppies!
๐Happy 1st birthday๐

Ryze had another successful day at Sunday's Celebration of the Best Champ shows a couple of weeks ago.
In the afternoon show he was awarded another puppy in Group under Judge Mrs Dianne Jovanovic.

Sorin and Daria hit the ground running for the Neuter of the Year at Dogs West Celebration of the Best last weekend. In a whirlwind of run off's, Daria's expert handling and the incredible bond between her and Sorin saw them win their way through four heats before finding themselves suddenly in the final!
Right up to the end they performed to the very best of their ability, Daria presenting Sorin wonderfully time after time. When it came to crunch time Sorin was awarded Runner up Neuter of the Year behind a lovely little Toy Poodle.
I am incredibly thankful to all six of the judges who appreciated Sorin and awarded him so highly. It is certainly a day we won't forget for a long, long time!

And of course, a huge thanks to Daria for being the best friend and handler to Sorin, and for showing him so well every time you enter the ring together โค๏ธ

Ryze has had a good few weekends of showing recently gaining his first points towards his Australian Champion title, a runner up best of breed and a puppy in Group award.
Slowly but surely he is settling into his movement and working out what this dog show thing is all about.
A great big happy 10 months to our first litter!
Here are Solace and Ryze at their recent shoot with Dogs of the Suburbs
These two boys have done a lot of growing in the last couple of months and they still have plenty more to go!
Both boys are thriving in training and have very bright futures ahead!
A big thank you to Dogs of the Suburbs for these beautiful photos of Ryze
Happy Mothers Day to our special girl Rune who gave us the very first Norsonix puppies last year.
She was such an amazing mother and role model for her pups for the first 8 weeks of their lives and continues to be a beautiful influence on our Keeper from the litter Ryze.
We are excited to be planning Rune's second litter currently, with the hopes that, all going well, we will have more little paws on the ground around late August ๐พ ๐ฅฐ
Solace and Ryze both had a small run each at lure coursing with on the weekend. Both boys had a blast chasing the plastic bags.
They have a long time to wait and grow before they will run competition sized courses but for the time being I think they will be very excited for their puppy runs!
A big big thank you to Kirby at Reflections of Rogue Photography for catching these great photos of the boys during their runs
Come along and meet the dogs at the Dogs West Open Day 2024 happening tomorrow!
Lots to see and do, and plenty of different breeds to meet along the way, along with a bunch of dog related market stalls, food vans and more educational talks!
We will be hanging around the performance demonstrations during the day.
Only a gold coin donation entry fee for a fabulous day out!
Rune recently had her first runs in Excellent Jumping. She ran the courses wonderfully, only being let down by her handler (me) not quite getting it right!
Not that she minds, she just loves to do the running and jumping.
She's a consistent and easy runner just sliding over the bars being at the shortest end of the 500 height class ๐ฅฐ
Need a dog fix!?

Some outstanding efforts displayed but the team over the weekend down in Albany. This was Ryze's first camp and both puppy's first big double away show. Everyone was incredibly well behaved and had some successes. The boys have just hit 7 months and are beginning to mature into lovely dogs. (Photos below are from 6mths old)

Happy 3rd Birthday to our beautiful, gentle, clever, sweet Rune. Our true one of a kind girl. What a year we have coming up. Here's to many more wonderful birthdays to celebrate with you ๐
Sorin had an absolutely fantastic start to the 2024 show year with Daria. On Australia Day they were awarded:
๐ 1st of 2 Aussie Neuters
๐ Best Neuter in Group, in a very competitive line-up under Judge Mrs Tracie Buckley (NSW)
They didn't stop there though, going one more step for:

In another VERY competitive All-Breed line-up, At the very first show for the year! Under Judge Miss Marilyn Hoy (NSW)
Huge thanks to Daria for presenting him beautifully, the judges who awarded him so highly, to our friends who offered their congratulations and celebrated the win with us, and to our wonderful photographer Jodie who is always there to capture these memories for us ๐
We are very excited for this year and everything we have planned!
Please keep an eye out for Odi
He has been missing from Port Fairy VIC (Big 4 Holiday Park) for almost a month now and his family really miss him.
There is a chance he has been picked up and is travelling interstate.
If you think you have seen Odi in Vic or elsewhere please contact his owners.
If you have Odi, please take him to a vet and simply say you found him. His family just want him home.
It has been nearly a month since we lost our cherished Odi, and the void left by his vibrant and affectionate presence is deeply felt. Odi, with his beautiful nature and ever-present wide smile, is sorely missed by us. Despite the time that has passed, we remain steadfast in our determination to find him.
Odi is not just a pet; he is a beloved member of our family. His journey from a once highly anxious puppy to a confident and warm-hearted companion has been our shared experience. To the person who may have taken him, we implore you to understand that Odi is not rightfully yours. You have not witnessed the countless moments we spent nurturing him into the loving soul he is today.
If you are reading this, and you have Odi or any information about his whereabouts, we plead with you to reach out to us. His absence is keenly felt by his family, and he is the glue that holds us together. We long to be reunited with him. In the meantime, here is a photo capturing a moment when Odi allowed us to dress him up one night.
REWARD - $3,000

It's a long one, because while we didn't compete all year, had a big one this year!
โ๏ธSorinโ๏ธ
Has managed a couple of qualifiers in RAE with a couple of perfect scores, and he ran canicross with Jamelia in winter. In the first half of the year he showed more than he did after July when we made it to only a handful of shows. In his limited showing this year, he achieved:
๐3 Best Neuter in Group๐
Converting all 3 in to show wins with
๐1 Best Neuter in Show (Allbreeds) ๐
๐ฅ2 Runner up Best Neuter in Show (Allbreeds)๐ฅ
He also achieved
โญ๏ธ6 Runner Up to Best Neuter In Group โญ๏ธ
Not just a good boy in the show ring, Sorin was chosen for a TV show which is due to come out next year, where he was required to lie very still while chaos ensued around him.
And along with half of the performance community he was also filmed for Runt, playing a named part and teaming up with Simon for the days he was filming.
๐Rune๐
Had a very different year this year. Lots less showing than previous years with her only entered in 4 shows early in the new year.
No major wins here, achieving a few more points and 1 b*tch challenge along with 2 reserve b*tch challenges. She had a pretty successful performance year between Jan and April, achieving:
๐ Heelwork to Music Starter Title
๐ Freestyle Starter Title
๐ Rally Excellent Title
Rune also started working towards many other titles this year with passes towards RAE, Novice Tricks, Excellent Snooker, Novice Agility and Novice Jumping (only 1 qually from her title)
We stopped all trialling in April to rest her body before she had her first litter of 6 absolutely beautiful puppies in July. The litter was an experience, not without its challenges in the early days. But everyone made it through happy and healthy and they all found themselves the most incredible homes.
๐ฎRyze has stayed put with me, learning how to be a part of a multi dog household and working on his manners. He's done a couple of puppy classes and is ready to get into more. He's racking up a nice catalogue of tricks, and has had some nice little successes at the 7 shows he has been entered in with 5 baby of breeds.
๐ฆMadison, our only girl, the social butterfly is working on lots of tricks and training. She is her photographer mum's muse and is picking up well on her modelling gig. We might see her out and about as she gets older which will be very cool!
๐ป Ghost now lives in Melbourne, smashing his puppy classes and loving living with his 3 aussie siblings. Ghost might get into performance as he gets older, he certainly seems to have the willingness and keenness for it!
๐ Macaroni and his family are knocking it out of the park, they are smashing through their puppy classes, sports foundations classes, he's learning hoopers foundations and how to be the best Cafe dog. Very excited for this beautiful boys future!
๐ Solace has stayed close, living with Jarrad and Jamelia, he is also smashing goals. He has been learning lots of tricks and manners, smashing his way through lots of puppy classes, starting scent work, learning to walk in harness, and how to be a polite member of a multi dog household. Solace has also hit the show ring with 4 baby of breeds across 7 shows.
โก๏ธZeppelin is living the ultimate life with his new family up in QLD with beach walks every day and 2 young human siblings to play with. He is loving the water and is just the best family dog there ever was.
I couldn't be happier with the first Norsonix litter. All of them have bright futures, and are exactly what I was hoping for in temperament and biddability. Rune and Noodle have done me proud. So proud in fact, that I am heavily considering a repeat next year ๐
Next year I'm sure will be loads of fun, I'm excited to see what we can achieve ๐

๐จสสแดแดก แด สสแดส แด แด๊ฑแดษด๊ฑษชแดษช๊ฑแดแดษชแดษด๐จ โข It's going to be important for these puppies to be comfortable with being groomed, and with that comes being comfortable with the Blow Dryer. Most Blow Dryers are pretty loud and can spook dogs if they are not used to them, so yesterday, in a short 5min session, we started simply by slowly increasing the dryer's velocity from the lowest setting until the sound was quite loud (but not at its maximum). Obviously, I work within the puppies' comfort levels, and I'm happy yo say that nobody was the least bit worried. By the end of the session, they were experiencing some indirect wind from the nozzle being waved around while most were toddling off to go to sleep. This exposure will continue until they leave for their new homes.
Lunchtime today seemed like the perfect opportunity to get the puppies outside for the very first time! They were only up and about for 15mins but boy did they have a fabulous time! Everyone is now sound asleep (still outside) recharging for their next jaunt around the big kid enclosure!
What better time to start getting the babies used to being brushed than to get started while they are distracted! A week ago we were here, light brushing while occupied. Now puppies get a warm damp towelling daily followed by a full brush. This includes their chest, head, ears, and all their little leggies. Not one protest from these little legends!
The pups are used to this sound now, as the vacuum passes by daily. Today I remembered to film it! Nobody even blinked an eye!
Puppies have started getting into some puppy mush over the last few days. Dime, Buck and Dollar demonstrate how they are learning to enjoy soft solids from an Emat from Rover Pet Products while Cash watches on from the background ๐ฅฐ
Sorin had his very first sled dog event with his favourite person on the weekend! A huge thank you to Jamelia for taking him and letting him pull you around for 4.5kms in canicross. A huge congratulations on their 2nd place! ๐๐ #australianshepherd #sleddogsports #canicross #versatileaussie
Noodle had his first dryland sledding run this morning. Huge thanks to Mel for taking him around and getting a short video of him! Noodle definitely thinks this is a sport for him! Sorin also had a run, he came with me on scooter, we went the wrong way and our short run was about an extra kilometre long ๐๐๐
Rune and Sorin had a go at a new sport to WA called Bale hunt where they must find a scent in a tube hidden in hay bales. Both dogs had a try this morning and both did really well! Rune was quick to find the hide in the hay bales! The video shows her progression in just 1 hour of training! Super proud! Sorin's video will be posted separately, for some reason I cannot add 2 videos to the 1 post.
