Our Story

Welcome to Dogz & Catz Retreat – Every Pet is Special Dogz & Catz Retreat is the go-to facility for animal lovers in Perth. We know how hard it is for pet owners to leave their animal companion in the care of others and we promise that our team of carers will provide the love they deserve. When going away it is best to leave your furry friend at a facility that provides the right accommodation and services for your pet. If you are from Perth and are in need of a place to keep your pet safe and happy then consider Dogz & Catz Retreat. If you are wanting to learn more about the services and facilities that the kennel has to offer then feel free to visit for an inspection between 10-11am or 4-6pm Monday - Saturday. Take a tour to see the kennels, grassed play areas or cattery.

Dogz & Catz Retreat provides individual kennels for each pet with trampoline beds for large dog breeds and smaller frame beds for the little dogs as well as clean blankets. Each kennel is spacious so the pet is able to relax during inside time. We have 3 completely enclosed kennels for dogs that like a challenge and are able to climb or jump high fences and walls. All the kennels are disinfected and pressure cleaned each morning while the dogs are having outside time. Felines can enjoy the cattery with individual runs big enough for two cats or more, they are filled with fun toys, cat scratches and an extra level to lounge on. The runs are cleaned every morning after they have breakfast and the cats can use this time to stretch their legs and individually explore the rest of the cattery. We know exercise is important for dogs as it is great for their health and happiness. It helps improve blood flow and is also a good way to prevent joint and heart conditions. The Retreat has two large pond play areas, one for big dogs and one for little dogs, as well as plenty of other spacious yards. They are provided 6-7 hours to play outside each day instead of being confined to their kennel during their stay. All our staff are pet owners so we know the importance of a pets dietary requirements and this is why we choose to feed premium food. Each breed has different needs and portion sizes so the dogs are fed twice daily with a mix of Black Hawk (chicken & rice flavor) and some Tucker Time Roll (chicken & cheese flavor). Cats are fed Black Hawk dry biscuits and Whiskas wet food in the morning and topped up in the afternoon if needed. If your pet has dietary requirements, intolerances or allergies then you are welcome to bring their normal food and we will feed the required amount each day. Our staff are also able to administer medications, ointments and other treatments if that is what the pet needs. The Dogz & Catz Retreat provides a Doggy Day Care service. Think of it as a day care facility for dogs. It is $16 for the day and there is no need to book, just bring in on the day then watch them go and play with all their friends. Keep in mind that this service is not available on Sunday and public holidays.

Dogz & Catz Retreat has a hydrotherapy pool available for dogs. This can help with learning how to swim in deeper water, relieving joint pain such as arthritis and is also a lot of fun! Your dog will wear a life jacket unless requested otherwise. 20 minutes of swim time for $15 or $26 for daycare and hydrotherapy swim.

We provide a hydrobath wash to dogs who board for 5 or more days. This is also available for a fee of $15 for small dogs and $20 for big dogs. Nail clipping is also available for $10. If either of these things are too stressful for the pet then we will not do it and you will receive a refund.
