Johnnie last had his wet taken out EIGHT days ago, and this was all the wet to take out this morning. He’s in his stable for 18-19 hours a day.
You honestly don’t smell ammonia until you take the top layers off to remove the wet.
Once you can smell ammonia, it is already damaging the lungs of both humans and horses. Absorbency of bedding is SO important!
