I said goodbye George Jr this evening. He's going to a home where he'll be playmate for another dog.

This couple have been looking for a Cavalier for some time. I'm confident they'll be very happy with this little, delightful Mr Man.

Goodbye Alfie

The first of my cavaliers left for his new home today. Little Alfie, first born, smallest puppy, most shy of the litter.

Having cavalier puppies had been a very new experience. They're not at all like puppies with poodle in them. They're gentler in nature and more timid when first coming across new things. They're also incredibly cute and a great advertisement for having more cavaliers in future.

Goodbye Ricky, aka Lord Eyebrows.

We've grown extra attached to this little one, having him here till he's almost 12 weeks old. His new family are country and needed to wait for school holidays to come pick him up.

He's made lots of friends in his time here. Vanessa has even taken him to meet clients. He's excitable, curious and headstrong. His new family already have a poodle so they know what they're in for ❤️

We're having poodles!!

Mop is pregnant with 3 puppies ❤️

This will be the last litter we have for a little while. I've made the decision to stop indefinitely while I believe too many breeders are breeding these kinds of puppies at the moment. I don't ever want to be part of a bigger problem of unwanted dogs. I've been hearing anecdotal evidence for some time that other breeders are having difficulty selling puppies. It's time to slow down!

Squat turned 2 today.

I took her and Mop for a long walk and play with a friend and their dog. We went to Herdsman Lake. It's one of my favourite nature places to walk my dogs in the metro area. It's just so beautiful.

They couldn't be happier!

Today we said goodbye to little Billy.

He's the smallest boy and most placid. I know he's going to be so happy with his new parents as they have a large property and lots of time on their hands that they want to spend with their new companion.

This is the puppy I think will want to be a lap dog. He's going to the right place ❤️

This little girl Ava had an owner before she was conceived. They met when Ava was 2 days old and have been catching up every week since.

Ava is a sweet little girl. She doesn't like the really rough play so much. Always up for a cuddle. She'll be the perfect puppy companion for her new canine brother who's 12 years old.

We said some goodbyes this morning.

Obi, who rocked in at 3kg at his 8 week weigh in, and the unexpected addition of Ben? Luke? Name tba.

They came for one puppy and unknown to me, had decided they wanted to take both these beautiful boys home.

They're great playmates with a similar temperament. They enjoy some rough play but also love to come in for cuddles.

This happened in the wee hours of this morning. Pure blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

I've been very busy for the last few weeks with patching, painting and redoing some flooring in the front rooms of my home, aiming to have it finished before Molly gives birth.

I succeeded.... just!

Finished yesterday. Had some friends over last night. Crashed in bed just after midnight and was woken just after 2:30am by Molly giving birth. We were both very tired!

3 boys and 1 little girl that I will be keeping this time.

The beauty of crate training done the right way.

These pups graduated yesterday to the big puppy pen with the crate. They're putting themselves in it already to play and to sleep. No forcing and no trapping involved. The crate is a safe space with both doors open that's included in their new fun area.

Playing puppies!

3 weeks old today!

The puppies have been putting on a lot of weight. It's like a constant race getting enough food into Squats small body. So I offered them canned puppy food today. They loved it. I don't usually start pups on solids at 3 weeks but I think it's best for both mum and pups.

They're all between 680g - 870g.

And the corners of some eyes are starting to slowly open!

Last night the puppies turned 1 week old.

They passed their weekly weigh in with flying colours, increasing their birth weight a whopping 90-120%.
