Some excellent info for bunny emergencies!
πΌ Whatβs in a first aid kit for bunnies and piggies?πΉπ°
Occasionally our little pets need special attention and it helps to have the following items on hand-
-Critical care (DO NOT give unless a blockage has been ruled out) this is only available from a vet (you can also use mashed up pellets with water)
-Infacol- available at pharmacies and supermarkets, used for tummy pain associated with gas
-1ml Syringes
-Digital thermometer and petroleum jelly
-Nail clippers, scissors and tweezers
-Gloves
-Cotton balls and buds
-Bandages/gauze
-Betadine- dilute 1 part to 10 parts water
-Table salt, for making saline solution
π¨ Inside your first aid kit should be the the phone number for your regular vet and also an emergency exotics savvy vet (save these to your contacts also)-
