Some excellent info for bunny emergencies!
๐ผ Whatโs in a first aid kit for bunnies and piggies?๐น๐ฐ
Occasionally our little pets need special attention and it helps to have the following items on hand-
-Critical care (DO NOT give unless a blockage has been ruled out) this is only available from a vet (you can also use mashed up pellets with water)
-Infacol- available at pharmacies and supermarkets, used for tummy pain associated with gas
-1ml Syringes
-Digital thermometer and petroleum jelly
-Nail clippers, scissors and tweezers
-Gloves
-Cotton balls and buds
-Bandages/gauze
-Betadine- dilute 1 part to 10 parts water
-Table salt, for making saline solution
๐จ Inside your first aid kit should be the the phone number for your regular vet and also an emergency exotics savvy vet (save these to your contacts also)-
