Last week we added a exciting new addition to our future breeding program with the purchase of Precieux Sublime (Sir Donnerhall-Donkey Boy-Welt Hit II - Diamond)

She is the first ET foal born in Australia from the Imported mare Brix Devina. Devinas dam Atterupgaards Luna (Welt Hit II - Diamond) is the half sister of two dressage horses Atterupgaards Final Kiss (by French Kiss) and Atterupgaards Faramir (by Fürst Heinrich), who were internationally successful up to Inter I.

Devina’s sire Donkey Boy is a World Championship silver and bronze medal winner and victorious in Grand Prix.
Donkey Boy was named "Stallion of the Year" by the Danish Warmblood Horse Breeding Association in 2023 and won Intermediaire II and Grand Prix under Anne-Mette Strandby Hansen in Skårup Fyn in 2022.

He placed at the World Championships for Young Horses three years in a row and�won the bronze medal in 2016 under his rider Jan Møller Christensen and the silver medal in 2017.
Christensen and Donkey Boy also made history by winning the Danish Young Horse Championships four years in a row (2016-2019).

Donkey Boy was premium stallion at his licensing in 2015 and won his stallion performance test the following fall.

Donkey Boy's sporting successes have made him one of the most sought-after breeding stallions in Denmark, and his first offspring have already made a lasting impression at both the Danish Young Horse Championships and the World Young Horse Championships.

Sublimes sire Sir Donnerhall remains in the top 10 WBFSH Ranking of the best dressage sires in the world 2023

Sir Donnerhall was Reserve World Champion of Young Dressage Horses at Verden in 2006, and Bundeschampion 2006.

We are very excited to add these bloodlines to our future breeding program.

We love having German Riding Pony bloodlines in our breeding program.

These are fun, talented, beautiful and very trainable ponies. Our personal breeding aims may not be to breed for pony classes but to use the breed to reduce the height (often only slightly) and add the fantastic attributes that selective breeding over many years has given the GRP breed. The GRP’s in general are very healthy hardy ponies with good joints that are low maintenance. They are talented, forgiving and generous and we think they are absolutely perfect for a large percentage of our Australian riders.

Next season we have three GRP x Warmblood foals coming by About You II (AC-DC/Estobar) and Numerus Clausus IMP and we invite expressions of interest in these foals.

Foaling Down - We are now fully booked (for the 2024/2025 season) for foaling down but we will have some Agistment positions open for mares and foals. If you would like your foal to grow up in a herd of similar aged foals in large fully irrigated paddocks with rebreeding and handling available on farm then please get in touch.

Huge congratulations to Stella Barton Para-Equestrian and Lord Larmarque IMP for being announced as part of the Australian Para Dressage Team for Paris Olympics! Congratulations also to Chelsea De Jonge and Don Dancier IMP for being shortlisted! 👏

We are very proud of both our former N.E.P stallions LL and DD who were purchased together on the same trip in 2009. Lots of N.E.P Horses have these wonderful stallions in their pedigrees and I’m sure that their bloodlines will continue to contribute to the future of the Australian dressage gene pool.

Thank you to their wonderful current owners Jade Edwards and Gill Botten for taking such great care of them over the years.

A very special thank you to Deon from Stokes Sporthorses and then later Sharon Jarvis (with Lord Larmarque) for producing these wonderful horses so well 🥰 this has been a true testament to both the horses rideability and the kind and thoughtful training and management they have both received over the many years.

Thank you to Ira Denkhaus for all her help finding me such amazing horses in Europe.

Kjento - Royal Oak II - Sandro Hit !

At Ermelo World Championships the 7-year-old Kjento impressed in 2022 with a final score of 85.786%. Particularly noteworthy was the trotwork, for which the jury awarded the perfect score of 10.0! Kjento is a fine black stallion and exceptionally modern example, who dazzles with his brilliant type and exceptionally high quality basic paces. Kjento received one of the best scores in the history of the Dutch stallion performance tests with top marks for rideability and basic paces and reconfirmed this impressive evaluation when he became vice-champion four-year-old in the 2019 PAVO Cup. The double world champion can already count licensed sons, elite foals and top-priced auction lots amongst his offspring. Sire, Negro, was competitive at the highest level and through his sons and grandsons, has had a big influence on the sport. The dam, Elitestute Zoriana, was third in the Dutch mare test and received a top score of 90 points, with a 10.0 for her trot. She has been placed at S-level dressage, as has her mother Poriana, who also earned all of the honorary premiums and produced many S-level horses. Zoriana’s full brothers are successful at Big Tour. Damsire, Jazz, was an international Grand Prix winner and once again topped the WBFSH dressage sire rankings in 2019. Great granddam, Koriana, also bred various S level dressage horses. Her sire, Rubinstein I, has decisively shaped a whole generation of German dressage horse breeding from Oldenburg and was himself an international Grand Prix winner.

NEP Santa Cruz has already earned multiple champions in breed show classes including winning Supreme Warmblood youngstock on many occasions. She has been started under saddle and shows a very high degree of rideablity. In 2024 she was awarded Elite mare in her classification on the ACE tour. Santa will return undersaddle after having this foal.

Sire Royal Oak II - Royal Olymp- Welt Hit II Imported from Germany, later exported from Australia, highly successful Int.Grand Prix horse with scores over 70%. Multiple National Dressage Championship and Young Horse titles throughout his career. Licensed stallion for Hanoverian/AWHA/ACE.

Santas Dam Hollingrove Sasha by Sandro Hit is the 3/4 sister to Hollingrove Saffron (PSG). Santa is the full sister of NEP Royal Standard (pictured second last) by Royal Oak II (Advanced Level) NEP Bugatti and NEP Benicio Hit both by Benicio who have all been multiple dressage champions on their way to FEI.

Santa is from the damline of Stirling Faleten. Faleten, by Falkland out of Moneton . Moneton competed at FEI Dressage with Liea Bierman's and was awarded QLD Dressage Horse of the Year. The sire of Faleten is Falkland which is also the sire of Falkrich, sire of GP dressage horse Finnegan and World Cup show jumper Wirragulla Nicklaus as well as Falkland Victory which is one of the most successful sires of dressage horses in Australia.
Faleten made an enormous contribution to the early days of Australian performance breeding, and today is found in the pedigrees of many top Australian dressage horses. Faleten produced five stallion sons; Stirling Liberty- World Cup showjumper, high jump record holder and sire of Grand Prix Dressage horse Snowy River Blackwood ridden by Di Jenkyn. Stirling Lucas - advanced eventing stallion in WA, Stirling Luftman - FEI dressage stallion sold to Thailand, Stirling Luther - FEI stallion ridden by Dirk Dijkstra. Faleten’s daughters Lilac, Lucilla, Ladybird and Labella have all produced progeny competing at FEI level including Mystery Whisper who competed at the London 2012 Olympics and the mare Stirling Lilac who was the dam of FEI horse Moscow.

Over the past 15 years this damline has produced so many successful horses for us at NEP we can’t wait to meet this next Kjento foal!!

Foals coming next season

Skyline to B - LP Dream On

A very limited number of Skyline to B doses were made available for Australian breeders last season so we are very lucky to have this exciting pregnancy coming for next season.

Under Carl Hedin, Sykline to B defended his victory at the Swedish Championships for Three-Year-Olds in Flyinge now in the Four-Year-Olds. And again he received absolute dream scores. The Team World Champion Cathrine Dufour/DEN as test rider rated rideability with a 10. For perspective, Sykline to B received a 9.9. With a total of 94.65 percent, he again went in a league of his own. He was also unbeatable at his short test in Vechta (8.76) and his sport test in Münster-Handorf (8.41). Skyline to B came second in the warm-up test for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses for five-year-olds with a score of 8.96 (highest score of the day 9.5 for the canter). He came fourth in the final with a score of 8.80.

The sire is the World Cup-winning Danish elite stallion St. Schufro. Spinda's dam line produced the Olympic team champion Mistral Højris/Laura Tomlinson/GBR and the Olympic individual silver medal winner Briar/Jan Brink/SWE

The dam LP Dream On is by Don Dancier (IMP) (pictured) Premium licensed Hanoverian stallion and Grand Prix competitor out of the wonderful producing mare Belcam Gemini who as 3 year old scored 87% and was the overall winner in her mare assessment through the ACE Tour when she received a perfect 10 for free jumping. She is the dam of the licensed stallion Aveden Ajay and at least 6 Elite Foals on tour. She produced LP Carpina (pictured jumping) by Carpino Z Mini Prix 1.35m Showjumper and winner of the prestigious Eventing in the Park showjumping class.

With Skyline to B’s talent for jumping we expect this foal to have a lot of potential as a dual purpose horse. Visit Carl Hedin’s Instagram for videos.

LP Dream On’s first foal was purchased by an interstate buyer at a few weeks old and is almost ready to be started undersaddle.

We are so excited to be welcoming another foal next season by the Double World Champion Glamourdale - this time out of Zorba Khan IMP (Blue Hors Zack - Sandro Hit )

This embryo was purchased from Precieux Parc and is due early next season.

Blue Hors Zack ranks as the world’s second-best stallion in dressage horse breeding! himself a Team Gold medalist at the 2022 World Championships and sire of international Grand Prix horses as Blue Hors Zepter, Glock’s Zonik, Zigzag, Zap Zap, and more

Zorba Khan comes from the dam line of Diana by Donauwind who produced the Elite Grand Prix stallion Diamond by Allegro and a further total of 4 licensed stallions and two Inter 1 horses. The second mother Diliela produced Amarena 26 Big Tour 1.50m horse.

Zorba Khan competed Advanced level in Europe and is training Grand Prix. At Herning 2023 she was noted as one of the most successful Zack progeny competing in Denmark and Norway during their stallion show. She has now moved east to be prepared for competition in Australia.

The beautiful Zorba Khan (Zee) came to stay with me for a few months and I was so impressed by this mare that I really thank Sandra and Markus for making this special opportunity possible.
