BIG Ball Fun | Birthday Songs and Cake | Doggy Daycare What a Treat

G'day and welcome to another week of Doggy Days and Farm Stays. We hope you have had a great week, and this video brings you some happiness and joy.
A big happy Birthday to the boss, the chief, Allana. I'll throw a quick happy birthday to myself (Matt) too, just because I can 😂
Always fun getting to sing and eat fun foods with friends and family.
Some new faces at DDFS this week, we see Charlie, Kaya and Ziggi. We will definitely see more and find out more about them in the coming weeks.
The Big Ball was an awesome one this week, lots of dogs having a fantastic time with it and we are seeing newer dogs get involved much quicker, shoutout to Cooper and Max for doing an amazing job.
Loved the footage of Brit just hanging with those 2 pups, you can see the love and affection all these dogs get from the team.

Our friends have lost their Wire Haired Pointers Isabel & Iris. They were last seen near Kelmscott/Clifton Hills (Tonkin Hwy/Mills Road East end) on Thursday at 4:30pm. One of them may be injured. Not sure if they’re still travelling together. Please keep an eye open for them but don’t try to catch! They are friendly but will be scared and will run.

At this stage, a sighting is what is needed!

Doggy Daycare OLYMPICS Who Will Take the Gold

What an amazing week at Doggy Days and Farm Stays celebrating the Olympics in our own dog way!
Lots of fun with all the pups 🐶 getting to compete in some super fun activities.
Gold medals and biscuits were given out to the winners 🥇 but everyone got a participation treat in the treasure hunt 😂
Was great to see Allana and Brit wearing Kevens Australian parachuting jackets! Poor Kevy Kapow had to wear his normal work wear 🤣 Although it was great when Keven introduced himself, was hoping for a little more but hey, better than nothing.
There was an obstacle course that challenged the dogs (some more than others 😂) was great to see all the colours and the fun the pups had but it was Arlo who would take the gold medal with an incredible run! Arlo 🐶🥇
The team event of Soccer was just fantastic 🤣 I don't think Brit could have explained the teams any better! Luckily we had Djanda who would steal the show with some amazing leaps and wonderful enthusiasm, ultimately it was his enthusiasm that also stopped the game 😂 How did Allana put it, a "tooth issue" Hahaha. Djanda definitely takes the gold 🥇🐶 (and whoever else was on his team, will need to clarify with Brit on that one)
Next up was the Drone Chase Race! A test of concentration and speed, well for some LOL. We had some fast pups but it would be Scout who would take the win the in this one. Scout 🥇🐶
The High Jump event was great! What a different way to see what awesome skills the dogs have in their leaping abilities. Now this one was quite contentious, I am hoping we have some comments about it 😂 it was a battle between Scout and Cooper, both had some amazing leaps but the shiny medal was given to Cooper. What's your thoughts? Scout had some big leaps. Cooper was starting from a deeper position, so many factors! Cooper 🐶🥇
The Treasure Sprint was another one for the fast pups and once again, I was very glad that Brit had the line in her head and was completely all over it 🤣 Nice one Brett. The pace of Scout was too much for anyone else and she grabbed her 2nd Gold medal! Scout 🐶🥇
The Diving competition was fierce. So many pups having a crack at making a splash but we had a clear winner in this one! I mean with the encouragement from Kevy Kapow how could one not produce such an amazing feat! The dive from Olive was spectacular. 10 out 10 and wonderful filming from Kev and Brit to catch it! Olive 🐶🥇

Well, lots of good times were had, plenty of gold medals given out and some records were broken, not bad for the first Pawlympics event at DDFS.
Shoutout to Scout for 2 Gold medals and being the most dominant pup, well done to the DDFS team and to all the pups for their amazing efforts. See you all again in 4 years! 🥇🐶❤️🐾

We Just Love Our DOG Daycare | Lots of New Doggies

G'day, bonjour, aloha, welcome to Doggy Days and Farm Stays. We do love our daycare and how we get to meet so many wonderful dogs and their owners. Some people may look at this as "just a bit of fun, looking after dogs" but what they fail to see is Doggy Days and Farm Stays is a business built from a love of dogs.
We wish Nala all the best with her little surgery and we cannot wait to see her again, feeling happy and healthy.
Awesome to see more new faces in Safi and Chloe, we hope to see them more and watch their journey. A few more new faces around which we will introduce soon.
Been a fair bit of rain in Perth of late, hence all the puddles and water around the property but the pups definitely don't mind at all, us humans just need to make sure we have our gum boots on!
Always lots of fun at daycare and we hope you enjoy the video.

Especially the part of Brit throwing the ball! 🤣 I'll make sure I use that with the Olympics video.

Doggy Daycare is on School Holidays | FUN for All

Welcome to Doggy Days and Farm Stays the school holiday edition. Lots of fun for all the family to watch. Was great to have the kids helping out and getting to enjoy all the daycare fun.
Some new dogs joined us, and it is always awesome to see new faces. There was a trio of Golden Retrievers, Henry, Cyril and Sadie. A duo of Labradors, Api and Jet. And a bunch of little rascals, Hadlee, Charlize, Makenzie, and Everley. Can't forget the other young one, Brit 😂
The ladies did an amazing job all week with running the show and keeping all the pups happy.
Lots of fantastic footage created by the kids and was fun to put it all together.
I am sure we will see more from the kids in the future.

Oreo is a beautiful happy outgoing dog who needs plenty of love and space to run around. He loves playing with other dogs going on runs at the beach or down by the river. He will chase anything that moves preferably motorbikes. It is breaking my heart to try find him a new home but I know this is best for him as we don’t have the room and space he needs. He gets along with other animals and has lived with 2 cats since he was a puppy. He would suit a home that has children older than 10 or kids that are confident with dogs - he likes to give plenty of licks and kisses and can get excited with younger kids. If you have a loving home with room for him to roam please get in contact with us at Doggy Days or me (pm us for Kate's contact details).

Oreo has been holiday staying with us here at Doggy Days, you can check him out on our videos. Clearly very social with other polite dogs. He is fully house trained and very respectful.

Biggest BEST Big Ball Ever | New Bubble Blaster

Hello, g'day, bonjour, hi, welcome to another episode of Doggy Days and Farm Stays, where this week we had the BEST Big Ball ever! The dogs were absolutely amazing and kept the ball in for so long.
Under the watchful and skilful eyes and noses of Jimmy and Loopy, the big red ball stayed in the water for the longest time ever. So cool to see so many of the dogs getting involved and understanding more and more how the activity works. More dogs learning to push the ball and trying to keep it in the water so they can swim after it. With the winter rain here in Perth, Western Australia we are seeing the small creeks fill up and this gives the dogs another bunch of spots to run, play and splash. The creek next to the dam is the perfect place to throw the big ball in and like Allana mentioned, let the dogs who are not that pumped on swimming with the big ball have a chance to run and chase it. Splashing through the water, pushing the ball around and just having an absolute ball (pun intended 😂) is such a great way to give the pups the exercise and social interaction they all love.
Awesome footage from Jimmy and Flopsy having the Go Pro on them, such a cool perspective.

We also got a new bubble blaster 😃😂 I think I was more excited than the pups, anywho, we got it out and let it rip! 4000 bubbles in 5 seconds, is the claim the blaster makes! Impressive 😂I asked Brit to count them, but she got distracted as usual. Some great slo mo shots using the love being able to slow the footage down and see all the detail! Fun times 😃❤️🐶

DOG Daycare Fun | Another Birthday | New Doggy

G'day, hello, bonjour, welcome to Doggy Days and Farm Stays, a DOG 🐶 Daycare based in Western Australia. We are very excited for you to be here and watching our latest video.
If you have never been here before, today we give a little insight to what we do at our facility and the main activities that the dogs get to do 🐾🤗❤️
As the dog bus arrives with the pups from all over Perth they get to go meet and greet their fellow four legged friends who have been dropped off by their wonderful owners. This is a time of excitement and joy as they run around in the fresh air (quite cold ❄️ air at the moment here in Perth) say hello to their mates, the other DDFS team, which is Allana, Brit and Keven (Matt aka the person writing this, is at the daycare sometimes to help out if needed.
We then walk the dogs down the dam, where the pups can walk, run, jump, swim in the water and get the huge benefits of cold-water immersion. Ice bath baby! 😃❄️
We like to go for a walk around the huge fenced off property after the dam and let the dogs sniff, run and play as we make our way back to the house, a good chance for the humans to grab a coffee ☕
We always make sure we allow time for rest breaks and encourage the dogs to take a moment, but the excitement is still high and now is a good chance to expel some of the morning energy.
Motorbike Time! 🏍️
DDFS has two 110cc dirt bikes, the Honda CRF110 and the Kawasaki KLX110, these bikes are the perfect machines to take the dogs for a run around the paddock and get some amazing shots using the the only action camera we use! Motorbike time is a fun way to get the dogs going and let the fast dogs have a chance to really stretch their legs. Their are dogs who are not interested in the bikes or some dogs may need to have their running limited due to body conditions, we make sure to accommodate for all the dogs, whether it's a nice leisurely stroll, or if some need to really get up to speed, all dogs are different, and we make sure to recognise that. Time for a cool off in the dam!
BIG BALL 🏀
Big Ball is an absolute favourite of doggy daycare, it has evolved since the early days of daycare using exercise balls and always having them being popped 😂 Now we use a much sturdier ball and the dogs LOVE it! The idea of the activity is to get the dogs to push the ball around in the dam, encouraging swimming and great exercise. This one can take some time for dogs to understand what we are asking but with encouragement and the guidance of a couple of "pro" dogs 😂 they see what is happening and start understanding. This week we threw the on Nala and we get to see what it's like from her point of view! Very fun. Lots of fun, excitement and noise at Big Ball time. After Big Ball it's a good opportunity to let the dogs rest and the humans have some lunch.
Rest periods are very important at daycare, the dogs do not get put away in cages or kennels, they have access to yards and if they choose to rest, they can, we have dog beds and areas for the dogs to lay if they choose to. Once dogs have been coming a little more regularly, they start to see the benefits of having a little rest as there is still more excitement to come!
Treasure Hunt Time 🪙
A favourite part of the day for not just the dogs but also Brit! 😂👍
One of the DDFS team head out into the paddock and take some tasty treats with them to spread around for the dogs to sniff out and eat! The dogs know what time it is and get very excited seeing the human leave with the treat bowl and they all know a snack is coming. Once the treats have been placed, we release the hounds 😂 again the GoPro captures some awesome shots of the dogs running out to the treasure area. This activity is not just a chance for the dogs to have a snack but it lets them use their most powerful sense, their smell! Having to sniff and find the treats is another way to stimulate dogs in a very positive way. Usually Brit is using a humans most powerful sense, her eyes, to find the treats and hand feed the pups. The rest of us think she is just trying to buy the love of the dogs 😂🐾
Pool Time 💦
The pool at Doggy Days and Farm Stays is heated and has magnesium filtering through the system. This is essentially a hydro therapy pool for the dogs. We did a video on the pool not long ago, if you haven't seen it, go check it out! "Therapy Dog Pool for Daycare Doggies"
A blow dry to get the pups all clean and dry at the end of the day, is the last thing of the daycare day before the dogs get picked up or return home on the bus.
An amazing day for all, leaving the pups content and hopefully tired for a big sleep when they get back home.

DOG TV | Doggy Daycare Pups Living Best Life

🐾❤️ Join us as we look at what happens during a Doggy Daycare day here at Doggy Days and Farm Stays. These pups are having the best time, and we are so happy we can provide the experience for them 🤗
Why not throw the Doggy Days channel on in the background and let your pup watch all the fun times these daycare dogs are having! We know all our dogs just love watching the videos, it is so cool watching them watch themselves or their pup dog mates on the TV 😃
The frisbee was huge hit with the pups, this one had to be fished out of the dam 😂 apparently it doesn't float, learnt that lesson D'oh! We will keep it on dry land from now on.
Running, jumping, leaping, racing, swimming, all the things were done at daycare, but most importantly, the dogs and humans had lots of fun 🐶❤️👍

G'day, hello and welcome to Doggy daycare! Happy Birthday to Penny the Dalmatian who turned 3 🎉
Thanks for joining us here at Doggy Days and Farm Stays, this week we celebrated Pennys 3rd Birthday and how good was the cake/ cupcakes her wonderful family provided! 😃
The dogs absolutely loved it, and the ladies were very lucky to get their own cakes.
Penny is an absolutely awesome girl and we here at DDFS have been very grateful to have had her come. She has had a few holiday stays and fits in so nicely and just becomes one of the family dogs.
Love having her be a part of daycare.
All the daycare fun was had with some great big ball action over the days, lots of cruising around with the motorbikes and playing near the dam. Good times had by all.

Therapy Dog POOL for Daycare Doggies

G'day, welcome, howdy to all the Dog Daycare lovers! 🐾❤️ We hope you are ready for a dip in the pool.
In this week's video we take a look at the pool and the benefits it brings for the dogs.
Obviously having a pool is just great fun, it's refreshing in the summer months, it's a fun activity for the dogs (and humans) but there are quite a few major benefits in having a pool, with a couple of additions. Magnesium and heat.
The ladies did a fantastic job of explaining many benefits of the dogs going into the pool and gave some practical tips for anyone who is thinking of taking their dog into the pool. Not only did they speak about pools, but I thought the tip about making sure your dog is washed with clean, fresh water after going into ocean was great. It may seem obvious to some people, but it may not to others, and it is very important to give them a good wash afterwards. Also having fresh water before and after to keep them hydrated.
Having the magnesium in the pool provides amazing benefits to all who enter it, dogs and humans!
Magnesium plays a number of roles in the body including regulating the activity of over 325 enzymes, reducing inflammation, helping muscle and nerve function, and helping to prevent artery hardening. By having the pool converted to pump magnesium through the system, it allows the dogs to absorb it through their skin, which has been proven far more effective than if you were to take it orally.
I guess we now know why Kevy Kapow is keeping his youthful looks! 😂
I hope everyone noticed the addition of the astro turf around the pool, Kev has done a great job of this, and it will definitely help with keeping some dirt out of the pool. The DDFS team are always working to make the business better and better.
So many awesome benefits for taking your dog swimming in a pool or the ocean, just make sure to always start slowly, give it time, provide your dog some assistance if required and your dog can reap the fantastic rewards that hydrotherapy can provide.

We Will Miss You Beautiful Girl Jazzy

It is with a very heavy and sad heart we inform you that Jazzy is no longer with us. We are devastated that Jazzy had to leave this earth so young, but we are very grateful for the time we got to spend with her.
We wanted to share a few stories of this beautiful girl and remember the fun she had and just how lucky we all were to have the time we did with her.
Her amazing parents have been so strong and even in the last days of Jazzys life they would bring her to the farm for her to have a little dip in the dam and enjoy a lay in the sand.

See Jumping Jerry Go Wild For the BIG Ball at Doggy Daycare

Hello and welcome to everyone who has tuned in to watch this video and learn a little about Jerry and his love about the Big Ball 😂
Jerry has been at Doggy Days and Farm Stays for quite some time and his journey has been incredible. Jerry is a beautiful big boy, who loves cuddles, is so sweet and kind to all the other dogs and to all the humans. Starting off quite confident with the other dogs and how he was around the daycare was a great start for Jerry however we quickly realised he was quite nervous of water. As with all the dogs who attend DDFS we do our best to encourage them into the water, as we know once confidence is built in a supportive way, the dogs absolutely love it. I can attest to this with my own dog Jimmy. If it wasn't for the help of Allana and Kev, Jimmy wouldn't be anywhere near he is with his confidence around water.
So, the team set their sights on Jerry and helping him get confident in the water. We used the life jacket in the pool, supported him (literally supported him by holding him in the water) and just taking the time needed for him to feel safe. Slowly but surely, he gained confidence in the water. The big ball was a funny one, he was always very excited by the big ball and all the action going on but kept himself to the outside, running around the edges, wanting to chase it. One day he obviously decided he had enough watching and he dived in. At this moment the team weren't sure if they would need to dive in themselves and perform a Baywatch rescue 🤣🤣as Jerry found himself in the middle of the dam and not being able to stand! After a lot of splashing around and the team encouraging Jerry, he made his way to the edge. The team decided to put the life jacket on him for the big ball and that was that! Jerry was obsessed. With the team continuing to support him in the pool and around water, he didn't need the life jacket for very long, now he does some of the biggest jumps into the dam that we have seen here at daycare and just loves going after the big ball.
We are very grateful to have Jerry come to the daycare, he is very lucky to have such wonderful owners and we look forward to seeing him continue his journey 🐾❤️🐶
We welcome Poppy this week too, she is a wonderful little girl and can't wait to see her grow, also having Oreo back, who will be staying for a long stay soon, lots of fun times ahead!
