Please keep your cat safely contained to your property!
Cat containment means keeping your cat on your property at all times—day and night. This can be done by keeping them indoors or giving them access to a secure outdoor enclosure (i.e. a cat run).
Free-roaming cats face serious risks, including:
🐾 Being hit by a car
🐾 Injuring or killing native wildlife
🐾 Being attacked by dogs or other animals
🐾 Contracting infections or diseases
🐾 Eating toxic plants or substances
🐾 Being stolen, lost, or abused
🐾 Picking up fleas or ticks
🐾 Snake bites
🐾 Unwanted pregnancy or causing overbreeding
That last one is especially critical. Shelters across the state are overwhelmed—right now, we’re caring for 78 cats and kittens, stretching our resources to the limit. And the surrenders aren't slowing down.
Keeping your cat contained protects them, our environment, and reduces the strain on rescue services.
Please help spread the word — share this with friends, family, and your local community.
