Hi, my name is Kym and, with my husband David, we own and operate The White Rabbit Retreat right here in Perth, Western Australia. Well, what we offer is unique and exclusive – some would say ‘boutique’….Essentially, we look after your rabbits in 5-star luxury whilst you’re away on holiday! We are often asked why we created The White Rabbit Retreat. At the time, we were a family with just 1 very spoilt rabbit named Minty. Our beautiful Minty was a white dwarf X rabbit with black markings and the sole inspiration behind ‘The White Rabbit’ name. So why create a retreat for rabbits? The idea was formed when it came time for us to take a short break – we could see there was a huge need for high-end luxury indoor care for people looking to board their rabbits whilst they were on holiday. 90% of the holiday boarding places we researched housed their rabbits in breeding banks, wooden hutches or cages with very little to keep them occupied or any quality feed other than the odd vegetable scraps. This simply wasn’t acceptable! As soon as we were home, we began planning……little did we know that nearly 9 years down the track we would be as busy as we are and expanded to include rabbit grooming at The Retreat Spa!

After a long 4 week stay, Oreo is heading home tomorrow! Wow, what a transformation she's made during what we call a holiday! We've really worked hard with Oreo on her diet and exercise regime and so pleased to say Oreo has gone from 3.99kg to a much healthier 3.79kg this morning. We know with a new meal plan and regular exercise, her family can continue what we've started here. Oreo looks and feels like a brand new bun again!

I had a hot date with Mr Daisy @ The Retreat Spa earlier this week! He and his bunwife Coco checked in for a two week vacay whilst their family are in beautiful New Zealand . Just a mini spa session to keep them both tidy and well during their stay. Doesn't Mr Daisy look like Alfalfa from The Little Rascals movie?!! 🐰🤎

Mr Lupini....how many photo's is too many? Never when it comes to Lupini! I could easily sit and snap pics of him for hours; But Lupini was in for his groom and he was bringing the goods today! 2 moults running consecutively meaning plenty of fur removed from his body, he had his nails clipped short, knots removed, more brushing and his absolute favourite bunny massage to finish. He was keen to do some product taste testing too today 😂! Always lovely to see his mum and his mini dad today! 🐰🧡

Miss Flop and I headed out to The Retreat Spa last night for some grooming! Flop is a regular of TWRR and she's here on an extended stay whilst her beautiful mum is in the UK! Miffy & Petal checked in for their maintenance grooms this morning - They have been moulting heavily and with nearly 3x buckets of fur removed today, they definitely feel better for it! Nails clipped, a**l glands cleaned, knots removed and bunny massage to finish. They each had a 🍎🍏 treats before they headed back home! 🐰🩶🤎🖤

I'll just leave these here........A fresh batch of "Fruit Salad" treat bags; A perfect mix of local pears🍐, apples 🍎🍏, kiwi fruit 🥝, Cara Cara oranges, (blood oranges) 🍊 and pink grapefruit 🩷, plus pineapple🍍 and banana's🍌 lovingly hand cut and dried low and slow for optimum sweetness. I don't think you could get anymore Western Australian produce into one bag of yummyness! 🐰💗

It was so lovely to see lil' Axel for his grooming session today, we hadn't seen him for a while be he instantly remembered us and knew he was about to be spoilt! Axel has been moulting heavily and nearly 1.5x buckets 🪣 of fur later, he's feeling so much better for it! His nails were clipped short, feet knots removed, a few cheeky 🍎 treats and our famous bunny massage to finish. We know Axel feels like a brand new bun once again! 🐰🧡🤎

Huge weekend on the tools and a warm one too in Perth! We had a few new buns and several of our regulars through The Retreat Spa over Saturday and Sunday; Waffles, Pippy, Clyde, Nibbles & Misty, Lupini, Twix @twix.thebunny and Biscuit @biscuit_the_cute_bunny all checking in. Saturday we had Toast & Crumpet, Regi @regiandbonnie, George, Lulu, and Walter, and Sunday (today) Miss Myra, Flop @flop_the_rabbit_, Cuddles, and Winston @roseandwinston checked in for their grooming-only appointments. The Retreat Spa was like an oven today, combined with us both struck down with food poisoning made it an eventful morning on the tools! Luckily my portable air conditioner was working a treat keeping it at a reasonable temperature! We had Hoppy, Binkie & Dusty, Misty and Gizmo @hopwithgizmo check in for their maintenance grooms this morning - The weather has meant we are seeing another round of mega moults, alot of brushing! Everybun looked amazing after their grooming sessions and plenty of #bluefurbucket of fur removed off their bods. Instead of banana treats, we had frozen mango 🥭 today! Lucky buns! 🐰❤️ #theretreatspa

The Retreat Spa was buzzing with some of our regulars and a few newbies joining us this morning! Today we had Miss Lilly, Fluffy & Lovely, Walter and Cosmo all in for their spa sessions - It was ALL about the brushing, the #bluefurbucket was quickly retired for pure vacuum power as we went to town on these buns. We filled 3x 52L disposable garbage bags full of fur! Nail clipping was also important today with a few long nails needing an urgent trim, knots removed, anal glands cleaned, few ear cleans too and as always the bunny massages are an absolute favourite! Plenty of teeth purrrrring and clicking of content. Lovely to see our regulars and meet some new families all with a common goal, keep their buns in tip top shape. 🐰💕 . You guessed it! Another huge Saturday @ The Retreat Spa - A lovely combo of regulars and newbies today including Miss Myra, Neve & Nuvola, Ace and Bloo & Albie. It was all about the brushing today, so much moulting coat to remove from the buns with nail clipping, knot removing, plenty of anal glands to clean, checkups and bunny massages. A few spoilt buns went home with a few bags of treats and #billyandco wares for their abode. We'll be open again tomorrow for another busy morning of grooming-only appointments! 🐰❤️ #theretreatspa

Well, The Retreat Spa was back in full swing over the weekend with a massive two-day's on the tools! We had Neve & Nuvola, Regi, Podgie, Smudge @smudge_the_minilop, Lulu, Lola and Tofu all checking in for grooming-only - We managed to fill 2.5x 52L compostable garbage bags full of fur over the weekend. With the recent heatwave in Perth, it's definitely set the buns off again with their mega moults. Plenty of deshedding, nail clips, a hygiene clip, anal glands cleaning, knot removing and bunny massages for all. The Retreat Spa will be open again this weekend for two 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐃 days of grooming-only appointments. There is still some availability through February and new dates for March will be added very soon. 🐰🩷 #theretreatspa

You are guaranteed your rabbits will be under the watchful eye and loving care of Kym and David, the founders of The White Rabbit Retreat. Your bunny will have his, her, or their own clean and tidy indoor air-conditioned/heated large pen to lounge around in while you are off having fun somewhere exotic (well, as much fun as you can have without your bunnies!)

Here are some of the benefits of boarding at The White Rabbit Retreat:

Experienced caretakers. We've seen it all when it comes to rabbits and guinea pigs, we know how delicate they are and ensure they are given as much love, care and attention as we give to our own pet rabbits. We have experienced Vet’s from The Unusual Pet Vets who not only look after our own rabbits but are on speed dial if a bunny or piggy were to fall ill.

A super-clean environment. We are not afraid of cleaning and as such our rabbit pens are always kept spotless. We routinely use F10 (vet grade disinfectant) to disinfect all rabbit surroundings, toys, tunnels, pens, flooring etc before each new furry client arrives. Cleaning pens happens daily with fresh litter and hay and general pen clean.

Incredible hay. We use lovely green oaten hay sourced locally and always fresh straight from the bale. Do not be surprised if your bunnies end up addicted to our awesome hay...

All the supplies are on us. We provide the indoor space, supervised outdoor time (optional), clean towels, litterboxes (ranging in sizes), litter, oaten hay, Vetafarm/Burgess/Oxbow or Science Selective pellets with The Unusual Pet Vet chaff mix available, a variety of fresh vegetables and fruit – some we grow in our veggie patch! Our furry guests are also treated to Smooshie Face Treats too during their stay - usually 3.30pm treat time! Smooshie Face Treats are a locally owned and operated business who are dedicated to offering pocket pets amazing homemade, artisan treats full of all the goodness and no nasty fillers! We love them so much we are now a stockiest of Smooshie Face Treats!

Everything your bunny could possibly need, we have! If you have special food or supplies, we are happy to use those too - just let us know!

Lots of love. Unlike other boarding facilities, we DO NOT charge for hugs. They are FREE and let me assure you, there will be plenty of them! Your bunnies are guaranteed to get ALOT of attention and interaction with us whilst they are here on holidays.

Grooming; We can give your bunny the royal treatment at The Retreat Spa! Mani/Pedi’s and an exceptionally good deshedding brush are available - $30 per rabbit.

We provide all the supplies for your bunny, but it is important that you bring a few things with you when you bring your bunny or piggy to board:

A familiar towel or blanket or pillow with their 'home scent' on it. Home scents are very soothing for bunnies

Favorite toys. If your bun is attached to a toy, bring it with you!

Any special foods. We provide high quality food for all our bunnies, but if your bunny is on a special diet, you should bring it with you.

Any special instructions. Let us know if there are any special requirements your rabbit needs i.e. medications, special diet, different hay, water bowl or bottle, if there are certain vegies that do not agree with your bunny’s gut etc.

Any medications. Do not worry, we have experience with bunny medications and will certainly give them to your bunny as prescribed. No, we do not charge for administering any medications, all we ask is there is clear instructions from your Vet!

Daily Rates:

Rabbits/Guinea Pigs -

1 Rabbit - $17 per day (Single/Housed Separate)

2 Rabbits - $27 per day (Bonded/Housed Together)

1-2 Guinea Pigs - $17 per day (Bonded/Housed Together)

3-4 Guinea Pigs- $32 per day (Bonded/Housed Together)

Rabbit nail clipping/Grooming: $30 per rabbit (Optional)

50% deposit upon booking – Non-Refundable
