Did you know that behind the scenes there is an amazing team of volunteers who look after the dedication plaques in Kings Park? The Honour Avenues Group removes 10 of the almost 2,000 plaques each week for maintenance including stripping and repainting, keeping them looking their best all year round. The plaques are positioned on Lovekin Drive, May Drive, May Circle and Marri Walk and serve to remind us of lives lost in conflict. As we look towards ANZAC Day we'd like to thank the Honour Avenues Group for their meticulous care and work within our park 💚 🙏

Due to relocating and the extreme heat some plants are taking longer to recover.

I’m always adding to my collection which is the largest in WA. I work to your budget. I have driftwood rocks and Aquatic Soils & plants perfect for ponds & aquariums average person spends around $50-$80 on plants to fill a small pond Or $80-$150 to fill a large Aquarium you get more than you need for your project.

Customers please note it’s the middle of winter and most of my plants are in greenhouses outside
so are currently not growing fast 😥
I have for the first time in 15 years had a plague of locusts run through my set ups and flatten most of my plants. We can still provide you with plants they will be small and limited in species type sorry for the inconvenience 🙏🏻 it could be a few weeks before plants recover.
Hard scape i.e. sands gravel, driftwood & rocks are still available at great prices.

Fellow Aquascapers,

It is with great excitement that we announce that the 2021 International Aquatic Gardeners Association Aquascaping Contest is officially open for submission of entries through September 12th. After a very trying year of dealing with the pandemic, we are hoping that our fellow hobbyists have had the opportunity to find a bit of normalcy in their lives, including getting a chance to work more on their aquascapes for our contest. I am excited to see what everyone has come up with this past year and look forward to seeing the results near the end of 2021!

We have made some revisions to the contest rules that we hope to make entering the contest clearer and fairer for all aquascapers. Some of these changes include revisions to the submission process and changes to criteria for submitting to the Paludarium and Wabi-Kusa categories. As with past contests, all information including the rules and guidelines, entry forms and other important information about the contest is provided on the website: www.aquatic-gardeners.org. You are still free to publish your photos anywhere you desire and the AGA will only use the photos for display as part of the contest results and other AGA-related promotions as in the past.

Each year, the contest committee sends out a request for volunteers to help with the work load. The quality of the contest depends on the level of participation from dedicated volunteers from around the world, and this year will be no exception. Of particular importance is finding some individuals to post information on websites, forums, and other social media sites both in the United States as well as internationally. If you are involved with an international forum or club, please consider helping out by posting announcements.

Easter long weekend is the last good weather for our plants from now on they all slow down for winter! So if you are after some plants to fill the gaps in your aquarium or aquascape book an appointment this weekend to stock up.

As we are now likely to be moving in early September I will be having a clearance sale of surplus plants and accessories during June/ July

Don’t worry we will be back to full strength sometime in spring this year 2021

Cooler weather is affecting plant growth in our greenhouses. We still have loads of plants to choose from but due to overwhelming responses to our adds on Facebook our supply of plants like Java fern and Annubias are in limited supply! I always try to include small portions for each customer but given the fact that both are in huge demand we will not be including them in plank packs until further notice.
If any one has surplus of java fern java moss or Annubius we are willing to swap trade or buy them from you🙏🏻

It’s getting to the end of winter but cold nights will remain through to October so now is the time to clean up and repot pond plants ready for their spring growing period! We have started to do our pond section last weekend but still have to pot up Iris’s and cannas will keep you posted on how it’s all going
