We have had an up and down week this week. Our mumma Jakota welcomed her very last litter on Tuesday morning. Wasn’t the easiest time for her like her previous whelpings however true to form my girl powered thru.
We were blessed with 5 pups however later that day we lost our smallest little girl.
Our remaining 4 are going from strength to strength.
3 girls & 1 boy - ALL SOLD.

Big thank you to my daughter Makayla for being on hand to help.
Thanks to hubby for being my support, breeding really does tug on your emotions and I can definitely say mine were all over the place.

Now to update you all with lots of puppy spam.

Jakota had an ultrasound today.
We can confirm we have puppies on board. Due 1st July.
At the stage all pups are sold depending on how many we have.

We do have 2 planned mating in November with our two other girls.

Introducing our gorgeous girl NARLA. She has been raised by my daughter and son in law and when she comes on heat later this year she will be bred with KATU. I just love her markings.

Yay the day has finally arrived Mumma Jakota has come on heat. This will most definitely be her last litter.
She has produced beautiful pups and this litter will be bitter sweet.
Please note we have already taken 3 deposits for this litter, there has been a lot of interest.
Our plans are to have Jakota progesterone tested on 27/4 then inseminated on 29/4-30/4. Pups would be due approx 1/7 and will be ready to go to their furever homes on 26/8.

4 years ago we lost our big boy Diesel to a baby dugite bite and from then on we have used the snake vibrating repellent and we haven’t had any sightings.
However because my 2 girls (dogs) decided it would be great to play with the repellent’s they broke.
And surprise surprise I woke to find a dead baby dugite in the backyard.
So mad dash to Bunnings to pick up some new ones.

If you need snake repellents they are in isle 28 at Bunnings ranging in price from $36 to $75. Best thing we ever bought to protect our girls, kids, grandkidsa d ourselves.

Just A Dog

From time to time, people tell me, “lighten up, it’s just a dog,” or “that’s a lot of money for just a dog.”

They don’t understand the distance travelled, the time spent, or the costs involved for “just a dog.”

Some of my proudest moments have come about with “just a dog.”

Many hours have passed and my only company was “just a dog,” but I did not once feel slighted.

Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by “just a dog,” and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of “just a dog” gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.

If you, too, think it’s “just a dog,” then you probably understand phrases like “just a friend,” “just a sunrise,” or “just a promise.”

“Just a dog” brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.

“Just a dog” brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person.

Because of “just a dog” I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future.

So for me and folks like me, it’s not “just a dog” but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.

“Just a dog” brings out what’s good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.

I hope that someday they can understand that its’ not “just a dog” but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being “just a man” or “just a woman.”

So the next time you hear the phrase “just a dog,” just smile, because they “just don’t understand.”

This is Vaida (one of our recent pups) she has a mischievous nature and loves to dig. Her new family have provided her a safe place to dig for hidden treats, which then leaves the garden alone lol.
