The newest foal, a gorgeous coloured jack by our beautiful dark spot jenny Malakai Devine Design to our coloured jack Poplargrove Amberjack. He’s without a name at the moment but we couldn’t wait to introduce him. Born at the very respectable time of 2:45pm.

Dd was an absolute rock star having no trouble for her first foal and has done everything to the book. Absolutely incredible.

As it turns out the world had other plans for our beautiful Covergirls foal. She foaled early Wednesday morning but her little foal was born still. I wasn’t going to share this but so many have been asking of her and if she has foaled.

Very sad for our girl and her beautiful foal, and heartbreaking for me, sometimes you can do absolutely everything right and to try and keep your animals safe and healthy and nature has other plans. It shouldn’t be something we can’t speak of, the losses. We hope they never happen but sometimes it just for reasons we don’t know. Covergirl is doing ok though and that’s the main thing now.

It’s a dude just like his dad. Marlin will be for sale offered as a gelded jack. He will stay with us, and his mum until he’s weaned at 6 months of age. Donkeys must have another donkey companion and cannot be on their own.
