Slowly coming back to life and starting with a pretty exciting product - your puppy's family tree. Open for all pedigree labradors no matter where in the world they were born as long as they are registered with the kennel club of the country they were born in. My pup is very excited to have her own tree, am sure yours would be too.

What you will get: a .pdf document that can be printed out or kept on your computer and is 20-30 pages long (depending upon your pup's family).

It has a personalised cover, some info on the history of the labrador and the first labrador, some info on how breeders check for no inbreeding problems, an explanation as to the colours in our pups - what can be expected from different breeding combinations, why we get the different shades, dudleys, winter nose and silver labs.

There's a summary page about your pup - that includes basic stats and a couple of plots showing colours and countries of birth.

There's a page explaining how to read the fan charts and then there are 5 fan charts all showing different things - names, colours, whether the dog has a title, what country they were born etc. All can be read if printed on A4 but it might be easier to print across multiple pages (most printers can do this).

Finally there's a table listing every ancestor and their colour, place of birth, titles, whether they moved countries in their lives, if they had huge amounts of puppies, whether they were record breakers of any kind or basically any interesting info about them.

In all of those that I have done so far I have managed to find all of the info about all 254 ancestors of each pup and so although I may not continue to get 100% I am confident I'll get most of it.

It doesn't matter what country your pup was born in as long as it is a pedigree and was registered in it's birth country (so far I have come across 12 different countries I think).

The cost for doing your tree is $100 AUD for the first pup and $75 AUD for any additional ones after that. If you want more than 1 pup doing I'll also find the relationship between the pups (if there is one) and let you know what that is.
If you are a breeder and want a litter doing to include in your puppy pack then let me know and we can sort something out.
All that is needed is the pedigree name of your dog and also their pet name.

I've attached some (low quality) pictures from an example tree and will happily answer any questions you have.

In response to many questions about the different type of cool mats available out there I hope that this helps:

There are 3 types: one you simply put on the floor and the dog sits on and it's cold in the way that tiles are cold. In the same way that tiles warm up with heat so does the mat so after a while it'll warm up and pup has to get off for it to cool again. Cheap, easy, but only as effective as tiles so best for carpeted areas / travelling etc.

There are gel filled ones you put in the fridge. Gel gets cold, mat gets cold. Over time slowly warms up and you refrigerate. Not good for chewers and does need preparation but does get cold and stays cold longer than option 1.

Third option is made from the same stuff they make cool coats from. Run under a cold tap and squeeze out. Put on floor and sit on. When it dries out, re-wet. Some clever science has gone into it to make sure it doesn't drip like a wet towel does, is still lightweight when wet and only dries slowly. Most expensive type, no prep needed, stays cold at least as long as other methods, no gel to ingest if chewed, lightweight. Best in my opinion.

As show season turns to all day events and the sun keeps on shining it's time to think about keeping cool under those gazebos. Silver mesh shades are perfect - the silver reflects the heat while the mesh lets the breeze through. With velcro straps on three sides and reinforced peg holes on the fourth side they can be easily secured to whatever you want and with two different sizes available they are perfect for everyone. The 3m x 2m wall costs $100 and the smaller 2.4m x 2m is $95. Trolley surrounds are also available for just $55. All prices include delivery to most Perth shows and suburbs.

We are currently in discussion with Soloshot about becoming a distributor for them in Australia but they don't have their systems set up yet so aren't ready. We are, while we wait, trying to purchase in bulk from them instead so that we can at least let you guys still buy local. Fingers and paws crossed they are up and running soon....

Ok so there have been some questions about cooling mats. We stock 2 different types.
1 type is the 'too cool' brand. These work the same way as kitchen tiles stay cool. They have a NON-TOXIC gel in them and you simply place them somewhere on the ground and the dog lies on them. Eventually the dog's heat will warm up the mat and it will stop cooling. If the dog gets off and the mat is still somewhere cool, it'll cool down again by itself and will work as before. These are great if you have somewhere shady for the mats to be placed and don't need a huge amount of cooling to occur, just somewhere nice to lie, and are going to be away for a long time. They can be chewed and the gel can be ingested but as it's non-toxic it should just pass through the dog's system (not advised to give a known chewer any type of gel to eat however!). There are similar, cheaper, imitations out there, please beware that some of these are not non-toxic and are potentially very dangerous.
Our second type is made of the same material as the cool coats that we stock. You simply wet the mat, squeeze it out and place on the ground. The mat is made of a number of layers of different materials that are designed so that the mat is cool to the touch rather than wet, and it controls the rate of water evaporation. As the water evaporates, more heat is drawn from the dog's body to the mat, cooling the dog. Once the water is totally evaporated it becomes just a mat. The length of time for this to occur depends upon the conditions - in sunlight / shade etc etc. but usually good for a number of hours. This type of mat is better for chewers (no gel to be eaten), has a better rate of cooling than the gel type and folds up smaller for easier storage / transport. Some dogs don't like the 'squidgy' feel that the gel mats have and so this mat is great for them. The downside is that it does need re-wetting every so often and is slightly more expensive. It can however be put in the washing machine if it needs cleaning.

Gel mats are available in 3 sizes: S (30 * 40 cm = $25), M (40 * 50cm = $35) and L (50 * 90cm = $50)
CC mats are available in 6 colours and 5 sizes: XXS (41 * 56cm = $60), XS (48 * 71cm = $70), S (56 * 86cm = $80), L (71 * 109cm = $100) and XL (106 * 142cm = $150)
