Staffy and Bully Breed Rescue Inc. is located in Perth, Western Australia. All of our rescued dogs are in foster homes.

We are a volunteer-run rescue group, who rescue, rehabilitate, rehome & advocate for staffy & bull breeds. is entirely volunteer run rescue organisation which is dedicated to improving the image of staffy and bully type breeds and educating the public about what wonderful family companions they can be with responsible pet ownership. SABBR take in dogs when and where we can from the pound system, p

rivate surrenders and vets and care for them until suitable permanent homes can be found, we are a no kill rescue group. We fund all rescues ourselves as a non profit rescue organisation. All dogs adopted direct through SABBR will be wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, microchipped, sterilised, and vet checked by one of the wonderful veterinary clinics we work with. We are also assisted by some of Perth's top behavioural trainers when required and pay at our cost for them to assist our dogs and carers. Here at Staffy and Bully Breed Rescue we believe it is highly important that the public are educated about the breed of dog they are adopting and understand the needs of the breed of dog. We do not support Breed Specific Legislation or backyard breeding. Our dogs are adopted out to companion homes only. Bull breeds are loving people orientated dogs and are not suitable for homes seeking a guard dog. One of our aims is to dispel any aggressive tendency myths associated with these breeds and instead to promote them as family companions. Volunteers interested in these breeds are more than welcome to contact us if they wish to help in any way. Whether it be with transport, paperwork, admin, fundraising, donations of old blankets / towels, collars, leads, food, wormers, flea treatments, toys etc or any other small way you may think of, all assistance is appreciated. We have no kennel facilities of our own and rely on foster homes to house the majority of our dogs. We do however pay for private kennels at our cost to house urgent dogs temporarily. We pride ourselves on being very supportive of our adopters and volunteers and matching dogs appropriately to for ever homes.

Bruce came into our care as a pup and has spent the majority of his 3 years in foster care. That’s a long time for a sweet, strong Staffy-Boxer blend like him to wait for his forever family.

He’s a true companion, always by your side, and will be your ultimate shadow. Bruce will follow you around the house, ensuring you’re not sneaking snacks without him! 😉

While he isn’t the best fit with other dogs or cats, Bruce is more than happy being your one and only. ♥️ He’d do best in a home with older children who understand his size and strength.

Bruce is independent, so if you work full-time, that’s perfectly okay—he’s content on his own but will always be ready for cuddles when you get home. 🏡

Say hi to adoptable Frodo 👋🏽 Our Staffy blend is a 5-month-old cutie! 🥰

Our spirited pup loves making new dog friends and is still figuring out his thoughts on cats. 🐱 Frodo is eager to learn and always ready to take on new challenges, though he’s still refining his skills.👌🏽

He’s wonderful with kids, but with his playful and strong nature, young children under 5 may get knocked over by his enthusiasm. 🙈 He’s growing into his strength, and his heart is as big as his paws!

Frodo would thrive in a home where someone is around often. He’d love an active family ready to include him in outdoor activities like hiking, fetch, or zooming around the yard. And a fair warning—his snoring can rival a freight train, so light sleepers might need earplugs! 🚂💤

Not all dogs enjoy interacting with every other dog, especially as they grow older and become more selective or tolerant. 🫶🏽

Socialisation isn’t about all dogs always getting along, and it’s important to recognise that some dogs, particularly on-lead, may feel trapped or uncomfortable when approached by off-lead dogs. 🐕

It’s okay if your dog doesn’t like interacting with unfamiliar dogs, especially in public spaces. Be proactive by advocating for your dog and asking others not to approach.

Manage your environment by choosing quieter areas and maintaining distance. 👌🏽

Avoid letting your dog greet every dog they pass, as it can lead to negative interactions or even cause your dog to become nervous or reactive over time.

Creating space between your dog and others helps keep everyone safe and comfortable. 😌

The moment we've all been waiting for! Our long-term foster, Sadie, has found her forever home, and we couldn't be happier! ♥️

Here’s a message from her new family:�
"From the moment Sadie arrived, she made herself right at home 😂. She was amazing with my then 7-year-old, always cuddling up together. Sadie’s not much of a toy player or stick chaser, but you'd never guess her age—she jumps around like a 10-month-old puppy! She’s definitely stolen our hearts and will spend the rest of her days surrounded by love and comfort. 🥰 And as for watering the plants, forget it—she’s always trying to steal water from the hose! We absolutely adore her."

Some babes find their forever homes quickly, while others may take time, but we never lose hope. The perfect fit always comes along!
