This should be a great event to see some of the many different pedigree cats now in WA AND domestics (moggies). There will also be lots of stalls , raffles and cat rescue groups represented. Mr Meserve is judging on the Saturday and then a variety of CatsWA Judges (me included, but don’t let that put you off) will be doing their thing in an additional three ring show on the Sunday as he presents his top ten and of course, his Best Cat of the weekend.

The babies are now 3 weeks old. They are so cute! We now officially have 2 scottish shorthairs and 1 fold! I think you can guess who the fold is.

The babies are growing! Luna’s baby, now called Merida ( a black tortie), is 2 weeks old. And Arya’s babies, Thelma and Louise (a blue tortie bicolour and a black smoke tortie), are 11 days old. All are big and fat and spoilt. Smithy takes his responsibilities very seriously and is pleased to announce they have all past the sniff test. I apologise for the quality of some of the photos, moving targets are hard to catch, and please click on the images to see the kittens properly.

It’s been a busy week of waiting for kittens in our household! Finally, we are pleased to announce that Frosty is father to one gorgeous black tortie to Luna, and to Arya, a blue tortie and white bi-colour and we think, a black tortie and smoke. As they say, quality over quantity!

Today has been a hard day, as our Jessica crossed over the rainbow bridge. I say “crossed”, but I imagine her storming up the incline demanding to know who was in charge. She was a force to be reckoned with, but we loved her dearly and were in awe of the 19+ years she gave us. She has left a hole in our family which will never quite be filled.

The excitement in the family is growing with our first litter for the season, thanks to Luna, due October 1st, and then a few days later, Arya ! They are both pregnant to Frosty, who came to visit us for a couple of weeks.

Introducing Smithy, the newest member of the Mulcahy clan. He’s a retired greyhound with a love for a good sleep in and a warm cuddle.

PICANTE & MARIGOLD..... please give them another chance.
They had a tryout with a lovely couple but on the understanding they got on with their cat already in the house. Anyone who knows Siamese will know they can be bossy and jealous. Marigold bullied the other cat and Picante even tried to stop her but to no avail. There were a lot of tears...
So I have them both back with me again. They are yearning for love and affection and a home of their own to be in charge of. Haha. They need a home with no other animals and I suggest not too many children. They are intelligent and strong willed with lots of love to give. Luna’s kittens are four weeks old today. After some thought we decided to name them after one of our favourite TV programs, Vicar of Dibley! As you can see our 2 black boys folded, but our chocolate (and our one blue girl) did not. Here is the fractional moment all the boys managed to keep still and look at the camera so I could take a picture…..

So, Daisy and I have been keeping a sweet little secret. On the date that Daisy was actually due to have her kittens she gave birth to 1 little blue girl … and here she is 4 weeks later!
